Everything is good except they are illegally using a 75cent surcharge on debit card purchases.. this is strictly forbidden by law. Understand the difference between a debit card and a credit card. Google it, the law is very clear. Surcharges on debit cards is banned in all 50 states...
merchants in the United States are not permitted to charge a surcharge when a debit card is run as credit. This is because the Durbin Amendment of the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act prohibits surcharging on all debit cards, including prepaid cards. The amendment was passed in 2010 to protect consumers from hidden fees.
When a debit card is used as credit, the entire transaction amount is deducted from the checking account, rather than money being borrowed and then repaid. To use a debit card as credit, select "credit" on the payment terminal at the point of purchase
