El Famous Burrito

Have been a customer for over 20 years. Mostly frequent the Elmhurst York rd location which has been very consistent. The most recent experience at the Glendale Heights location was extremely bad. Both steak burritos were very small and there were many mystery pieces of grissle/fat mixed with the beef. The chips and salsa that we purchased was literally watered down and would not even stick to what was most definitely stale chips. I believe it's a chain that should retain quality and consistency but this was a hard miss. I was surprised that I was the only customer in the restaurant at 630pm...might be a sign. I won't be coming back.

Awesome burritos!! A little expensive, but you can easily get more than one meal out of a single burrito, or share it. Friendly service.

Restaurant appeared clean but walking up to the counter to order, I noticed only two cooks were working and both were eating a sliced apple or something, one with gloves on and the other with his bare hands. The one eating with bare hands rubbed his hands on a towel on the counter and then put gloves on. The other changed his gloves, but no one washed their hands. My burrito tortilla was gooey as it was not placed on the flat top grill after being rolled. I did not eat my food and I will never order from here again. Unsanitary and seemed nothing like authentic restaurants in the city of Chicago!!!

Right when I walked in I knew I'd make the right choice for where to go for lunch. The dude at the counter was cheerful and chatted with me while I ordered which I always appreciate in restaurant workers. They got my food to me in under five minutes which was a chicken burrito (and a grapefruit jarritos which is the best flavor).
Onto the food, the burrito was delicious! I mean, really really stellar. It cost the usual amount that chicken burritos cost, $9, and from the first bite was worth it. I feel like this might be an odd thing to comment on, but their sour cream was really good. I don't know what brand they use, but I liked it SO MUCH MORE than my homebase sour cream.
Mm. I'm going to keep this restaurant noted, because every part of this place was delightful. But honestly, that intial response of coming in and being faced with someone who gives off the air of someone who loves (or at least enjoys) their job was what truly earned it the five stars. 🌟

I came to this restaurant on 6/16/25 for the first time and I want to say I was so impressed! I work very close to this location and decided to come with a few coworkers on our lunch break! The restaurant is very clean, and we were greeted with smiles. Henry introduced himself and the way he delegated our service was proficient. We will definitely be back and maybe even for some catering orders in the near future as well. Keep up the great work!

Absolutely disgusting in this place. The food was horrible co worker and I threw away the majority of our food it was disgusting it was like it was cooked left out for a day and re cooked.

I ordered Ubert Eats, and they arrived on time, but the meat was very tough and raw.

First time i ordered here a buritto. Its so delicious..

I've been coming to this place for over 20 years moved out of the area and came with my family today spent $70 to get four plates full of fatty meat. It was so bad we did not finish our food we spit out more than half the meat.
That was tough to afford

Should’ve read the reviews before ordering. Beans were old. Steak was old. Flauta not flautas like on their menu, just 1 flauta, it was soggy also asked for it to be chicken and I don’t know what type of meat it was. They also forgot my drink.
