We love this place so we booked a family of 10 Father's Day celebration. Unfortunately it took 2 hours to be served our meal. The restaurant manager apologized several times and comped us desert. It appears as though open table was the culprit allowing more bookings than the restaurant was able to effectively manage. We'll be back but maybe avoid going on a holiday. Food was good as always.

Wonderful experience for Father's Day!!! We had a great meal and added music was a nice touch.

This was our second visit to Schnitzel Platz. Last time was a rainy Sunday evening.. Maybe about 20 people there....This time, they were packed to the rafters...The parking lot was jammed and cars were parking in a lot of the business (now closed) of whatever was next door The noise level was unbelievable. My husband turned off his hearing aids...I wish I could have turned off the woman in the booth behind me..all evening she kept screaming "Oh my God" But..I guess that's how some people are. Our server, Brenda was great. She was really busy, but I think the time from "order to table: was really acceptable..after all, she only has two hands... The food was delicious had a small steak and home fries....and the steak was perfect..just the faintest touch of pink in the middle...My husband enjoyed his meal too (It was his birthday) When we made the reservation the form asked if we were celebrating anything, but I don't know why they asked, as there was no acknowledgement...Maybe on a less hectic evening they might have, but I have no clue. All in all, I'm sure we will go back...Maybe just at a less busy time.

We've been here a few times before and on Saturday we brought three of our friends. They had a live performer who was lively and set the right ambience for the restaurant. Food was delicious, served timely and the server was attentive.

The food was delicious and plentiful. A fun German experience with the live music on the weekend !

Family Easter has become a family tradition at Schnitzel Platz. Great atmosphere, food, service, and live music. Great time for adults and kids alike. Looking forward again to next year.

A fun alternative to the usual Easter Brunch. Good food, great value! Easter Bunny was a hoot and the live music added to the ambiance. We look forward to trying them for a regular dinner soon.

Everything was magnificent. We will go back for brunch again. I love supporting small local businesses.

I have never had a bad experience or meal here. Lucas our server was fabulous. I always get the veal schnitzel but today I had the Jager Schnitzel - this may become my new favorite. Eddie was the musician entertaining us. He was great interacting with all of the customers in the restaurant

We were seated promptly, service was outstanding, food was delicious! Extensive beer selection, too. I can't think of one thing I would change. Wonderful dining experience! Thank you!

Long-standing, very authentic german food. One of our party is second generation German and loves this place. A favorite was the remoulade which is now off the menu although it is available on limited days apparently. Nice German beer selection on tap. Semi casual dining experience, some minor maintenance issues (cracked seat cover). Service is excellent - attentive, friendly, you'll feel like part of the family. Overall a fun place for a relaxing and enjoyable German dining experience.

Opentable Diner

I ordered the chicken schnitzel and it was unfortunately bland and dry. My husband got the pork schnitzel and his was also bland and dry. The green beans were great and the fries were fine, but bummed that the main part of the dish was so mediocre. The service was good and we loved the musician and beer choices, but we likely won't be back.

Not very crowded on a Thursday night so they had one server going I believe. They were nice but I think you have to ask if you want your water filled. Didn’t love their bier cheese, too salty in my opinion. Food was just fine. Green beans got a lot better with some added salt and pepper.

The menu is kinda confusing because it says the house platter comes with 2 sides & has 3 sides already listed & instead of getting those 3 plus 2, we were just asked what 3 sides we wanted and just got those 3 & the ones listed were kinda meaningless (just so no one else gets confused/knows how much food to expect).

You’re also ordering the beer price blind unless you ask or go regularly because they don’t list prices for the beer on the menu. I have to say we were surprised to see a beer flight in the suburbs ended up costing $35. We saw a review from 11 months ago with the what looks like the same exact flight for only $20. That’s quite the increase so I just want people to have easy access to that information because I know it can feel awkward asking! :) Christmas vibes were cute though
