We love Schnitzel Platz!! Feels like Oktoberfest year round. Love the live music, the ambiance and the friendly staff. Special shout out to Leo, the bartender! We had a nice time chatting with him before we were seated for dinner. Food was great, as always.
The food was good but a little different from what we are used to. The Pork Shank and the Pork Tenderloin was very good. Enjoyed the Liver Dumpling soup and the German Potato salad. The bread dumplings and the green beans were OK. Enjoyed a bock beer and the wine along with the entertainment. We will definitely go back to try some of their other offerings.
The menu is authentically German- I went with my husband who lived there for 40 years. The bretzel with obatzda was really good. The cordon bleu came with a gravy sauce which was a bit unusual, but he enjoyed it. Would love to see a Käsespatzle option for the vegetarians.
