Steak 'n Shake

Needed a place open late to have a post hockey game meal with my team. Thankfully Steak N Shake was there. The inside was open and clean. Food was made fresh and hit the spot! My buddy got a shake that looked like it came right out of an add.

Worst experience of my life at Glendale Heights location. Walked in and no one acknowledged us, tried to ask a question no one spoke English then we were ignored. The real kicker, it does not state when you order that your getting a QR code for drinks, so it was tossed. When asking the supposed manager what the situation was he made us dig through the trash for the recipes, then got on the phone and watched my family as we tried to eat. We walked out as we were uncomfortable being watched and followed while they were staring and speaking another language directly at us. 30.00 for horrible food, poor service and a wash room that smelled like it's never been cleaned. This location should be shut down.

Nobody there??? Maybe 2 people to operate the whole place. 1 other customer than me. Very weird. You need a code for a drink. Shut it down. They're saving money alright.

This place has been mid for YEARS. The food is honestly average to trash and overall just nothing special compared to their competition. Their saving grace for years was their shakes and even then, they’re slowly losing quality. This is a dying chain. Which is evident by their shameless ghost kitchen “The Shake Bar” which will have no problem charging over $10 for a shake of low quality and quality that doesn’t even deviate much from their usual menu. Service meets expectations, but atmosphere is lifeless or feels like you’re at diner geared towards children, dirty and unrelaxing.

They did NOT have staff at the counter to take our order. We had to use the touchscreen stations. So we couldn't ask any questions about the menu. Our order was messed up, and the staff didn't understand our complaint,.. seemingly because we only speak English.

Perez the leader on shift when we were there, acted as if he didn't want to serve us because we didn't know that The Shake Bar orders had to be placed on an app. First and last time. Coming here.

Never a wait to order or sit, cheap food, very well seasoned, clean and comfortable.

Like most places, low on staff, so wait for food is a bit long, but the staff does try to do the best they can.

It's obvious that corporate isn't giving much support, but the local workers are good.

Horrible, I was going to have lunch there. When I walked in, no one acknowledged me. After 5 minutes a dude that seems to be the manager walked to the register , turn around and did not take my order. I waisted around 10 minutes there. People that don't like work, should stay home!!!!!
