Taqueria el compa serves delicious Mexican dishes at an affordable price. Their tacos de asada are a must-try, with tender meat and no fat. The streak and chorizo tacos were good, and Taco Tuesday and Thursday is a great deal at $1.25 each. The whole grill chicken meal, available on weekends, is a great value, coming with rice, beans, salad, and fries for just $16. The food is flavorful, with phenomenal salsas and horchata. The charbroiled oysters were excellent, and the guac and chips are superb. Vegetarian options like cheese enchiladas and vegetarian tacos are always delicious. It’s the best authentic Mexican food in the area, though portion sizes can be small. There is a table or two, but it's mostly a takeout place in a plaza.
