“This is generally a good location. The service is really good, the people are very pleasant. My only complaint is sometimes the order is incorrect. Specifically, the condiments as special requests are wrong or paid items are missing like bacon and cheese.“

“I recently moved into the area and had a gift card for schoops so i decided to stop in for lunch on a weekday afternoon. I had the schoops mickey which I'm not sure what the difference is between that and just a normal cheeseburger. Service was nice from the ladies. Atmosphere is like a retro diner. The place was well kept which makes me think they intend to keep that vibe going. At the time of this review, I paid about $18 for the burger, small fries, and a coke. That's not including tip. It's certainly not a place for the budget minded.“

“This was my 1st time at Schoops, St John In., location. The food was fresh, and the waitress was excellent. 😋 The tuna melt was delicious, I asked for pickles, and she brought me some on the side. Yum! This is one of the few food establishments that I know of, (🤔maybe the only) that has/dispenses *Green River as a soda on their menu! 💚 My son loves the stuff!!! He drank 2-glasses with his freshly made burger and fries. #Delish“

“Came through the drive thru Saturday evening late....about a half hour before they closed. The girl who took our order was so sweet and polite. It was nice to hear someone be so kind and seem to love their job still so much despite all the craziness going on with places being short staffed. Our food was all correct and hot. I told the girl how she made my day and she was so thankful...definitely a great employee and someone they need to keep around. Keep up the good work!!“

“I must say they have some of the biggest, juicest, pork chops I've ever ate at any Maxwells ever and to be more specific if you've ever been to hog wild on Pulaski then you know what I'm taking about. I was already full at this point and got more left to eat. And I love onions on my fries, they dumped a lot of onions on my fries 😋. Then one time I had a polish so huge I was like wow I never had or seen a polish that big at any Maxwells ever.“

“We had a large group of parents & sugared-up kids after trick-or-treating, and the service was fantastic! J.J. was our server; not only was he friendly and great with the kids but accommodating, funny and patient.
I felt really welcome which definitely contributed to a great night eating & talking with friends. I can't forget the Manager, Josh Dale, who was also friendly and welcoming to us. “Went with the kiddos. First time to this location. Very cool set up. Jada (?) was very very attentive and took care of us. Looks like she was running the show by her self for front end. Food was good and very hot. I only take away one star because my root beer float was a little light. When I visit the one on Ridge Road in Munster they provide the float with additional pop and ice cream. I'm not sure if this has anything to do with that location having the cold ice ream bar in the other side, but I did feel slightly short changed and wanting more..
But location just cool and appreciated the excellent service.“

“We just landed and were headed to the family they suggested this place as being reasonable with large portions and delicious eats. It's a no-thrills, older (outdated decor) clean place. This a neighborhood spot the kind you get up and run around the corner to grab a bite before you start your errands!

“well I'm really torn on if I should recommend or not... most of the time the food is fine but when it comes to fundraisers they are really really horrid. let's put a box out and not put anything on the box so the majority of the people have no idea about tossing their receipts in there for a cause... im pretty sure they make enough money where they can put something on the boxes for the customers... if they are so scared about losing money don't even bother... yesterday I was there around 4 and not one person threw a receipt in the box.. I was the first.... second fundraiser and second time unless you already knew, had no idea about it.. .“

$4 regular onion rings came with literally only 4 onion rings. $1/ring is crazy so that’s the only feedback. Will say they were nice and crispy tho but still either overpriced, but more likely the gentleman serving out too few on accident.“

“Leaving Chicago and we wanted a nice little family pizza place. This was the place and boy was it worth it. Pizza was excellent and the cheesy breadsticks oh my so good. The young lady taking the orders was very nice and polite and super friendly. Sauce was good and for a thing crust which my husband normally does not like he was impressed and loved the pizza. If we didnt live almost 2 hours away in Indiana we would be there more often. And next time we are going thru Chicago /east Chicago area we are going to stop again. So worth it.

“A treasure to try! Never heard of this place and unfortunately missed it all these years. This restaurant has been around for over 70 years on Chicago and 2 years in this location.
Great tacos! The shells were nice with a buttery taste to them. The mear was tender and plenty ingredients in the tacos. The wait wasn't long for the food.

The owner was helpful with our order and telling us about the family business as well as what tacos might suit us. He has a jerk chicken taco but it's not foe the weak taste buds person. You're not going to run down the street like Richard Pryor on fire but you probably will run for a drink to cool your mouth down.

The fries were tasty. They put slices of cheese and melt it on the grill on top. I haven't had them that way since childhood.

The lemonades and teas are a must. A Variety of flavors for everyone.

Great breakfast items sides you add with breakfast entry.Again coming back last 16 years maybe 18 breakfast then more lunch weekends here soups great.Staff sometimes worked very hard busy alot I notice.Then slow periods.Love the red lights accent around ceiling definitely cozy music variety of 60 and 70 and 80 s music playing in variety different music the owner has set up and it's just great how he area ged the music here while dining.Workers always keeping the tables cleared cleaning set up tables right away.Omce or twice a day sweep vacuum carpets.Saw in back kitchen fee times very clean floors are soaked removed during slow times and near front sections then mop again before closing.All the mops are cleaned soaked out outside dry in back restaurant.I down once here last year back kitchen area was from back doors so clean it noticed.Dan native Blue Island Highland Indiana.“

“Live about a mile from this place and forgot all about it since it was Jack'sI'm kicking myself for not stopping in sooner. The food here is absolutely incredible, freshly made and bursting with flavor.We got wings and the mini burgers and were shocked at the quality. The burgers were the highlight of the trip.
