The food was prepared very well and the 2 servers were working their butts off. You could tell that this is THE place for working guys to get their lunch. Website shows breakfast is available but the server said they no longer do that. Room is very noisy. There are no outside doors to the bathroom rooms so if you are seated near them smells could become part of your meal. At our visit, there was no toilet paper in the handicapped stall which made me think the bathrooms are not serviced very often. This was a half hour after opening and it was an industrial size paper dispenser with 2 sides - both empty.

Service was very friendly. The food was delicious and there was plenty of it. A bit pricey though. The atmosphere was a typical bar and grill but the speaker and music right by our table made talking with each other difficult a few times.
They shouldn't sit tables outside and you inform them your sitting outside with your family wait wait wait and still no one' comes out to get your drinks order or your food order after waiting 15 minutes won't be back.

Hubby and l are trying different restaurants located near our home. The restaurant opened in 1960. It has a large bar and local crowd in the Godfrey area. Everyone was welcoming and kind. It appeared to be one waitress, and she was a super server. In my opinion, she earned her 25% as she changed the TV to tennis, so my 71-year-old husband would sit down? I also like the help yourself shelf with carry out containers, condiments, and utensils. Thanks for the inviting atmospher??❤️

My boyfriend and I stopped for the $2.50 burgers, they said they were quarter pound burgers. Although theyvwere "real" burgers they were auper thin, no way quarter pound. We also ordered fries which were more expensive than the burgers plus each had a beer. Service was ok but price was ridiculous for what we got, almost $30. We won't make that mistake again.
