Great little place on the Illinois side of the river, been going here since the late 70’s. By boat and now by bike or car, it’s a destination in itself, the history of its own cycle is enough.
Half of the excitement when you bring your family is the river especially if you come from St. Louis and go across the ferry. The food to me was reasonable and what you would expect from a small country restaurant but my 90+ year old Mother in law thought it was the greatest. She could get chicken livers and gizzards as an appetizer and then whatever she wanted. View and atmosphere is fun but the food was just okay. Buffalo fish and catfish fritters wasn't anything great - pretty bland for being a river fish joint. This is more of a have a drink on the patio biker bar. Pleasantly surprised with how clean the restaurant is.
