Spark delivery driver here. Just wanted to come on here and put it out there that this restaurant orders their food in bulk from Sam’s Club. At the request of express shopping, which means that the driver does the shopping and has to have it done in under an hour. It’s currently 30° outside. To drive from Marion all the way to Goreville. For a two dollar tip. So I thought I would put on here that the mashed potatoes are being made with powdered mashed potatoes, and the gravy is made with boxed gravy.
Edit: My husband has eaten at your restaurant, during his lunch break, and he stays busy too, however he remembered to tip
Your servers, I love my profession, I also have 3 kids with Christmas coming, two of them also have birthdays this month. So all the money helps. I know you would not respond to your servers this way if they performed top tier service only to not receive a tip. You don’t know someone’s story, and to use the excuse “I forgot” and to accuse me of hating my profession is highly immature. Rather than simply apologizing for your mistake. You have a merry Christmas. Not all of us are blessed enough to own a business to afford things for our families. Some of us have no choice but to be out here living off of tips. God bless.

We went out for a drive, stopped in this place for some breakfast. It was not even 11:00 but they weren't serving breakfast. We got lunch instead. The food was nothing special and the waitress was less than friendly. Can't say much for the atmosphere either. Disappointing.

It may be a place in a small town but has great people, homemade food, down to earth staff willing to meet your needs and overall friendly and welcoming place to grab a bite. If you are in town while they are open, give them the opportunity to meet your hunger needs.

Stopped in for lunch hungry! Ordered the double cheeseburger and fries! Could barely finish the fresh tasty burger it was so large! Great service too! I hear the same family owns the Longhorn Cafe in Vienna. I’ll be stopping there too.

Bottom line: if you like plate lunches and traditional breakfast, you will love the Goreville Grill. Service with a smile and prices that won’t break your billfold . Be careful if you become a regular customer …. you might put on a few pounds! I did!
