Amazing old fashioned burger joint...the best in Springfield! I always stop when I'm visiting. Burgers are smashed thin and cooked until edges are a little crispy which gives it a delectable flavor! (get the double, you won't regret it). Shakes are really good too...they even have raspberry shakes! It's that perfect nostalgic burger and shake joint!

Ordered choc.ice cream with raspberry and marshmallow toppings. Received vanilla with the 2 toppings in large,so I took it back and she said she made a mistake and gave me corrected one which was smaller in size. It was great tho.

Pizza was Excellent!! Great flavor! Cooked just right and crispy on the bottom. Highly recommend it!
And for dessert? The Best Gelato - Dolce Anna Ice Cream! (In the same parking lot.)

I love Krekels. I have since I was a little girl. Their hamburgers are smash burgers. Thin with crispy edges and a soft middle. The staff is friendly and the store clean. I could require nothing more from an old school burger joint!
Krekel's is always good. It's hard to go wrong.
