Ordered 2 plain Burgers & a Milkshake. Had to wait 30 mins for 2 burgers and a milkshake. Most places ask but they didn't even give me the option. "Would you like you drink now or with your food". Milkshake was not made to my liking asked them to remake to the milkshake or give a refund. Owners wife (I'm guessing) got mad her son made the shake, & I didn't like it. Instead of remaking it she walked around the kitchen area came to the other window like she remade it and said here you go.People came after us and got their food before us. This place is RACIST and I will NEVER! go back to this shack.

Kreckels is an okay place to get a good burger with the extras. However, the Decatur and Forysth, Illinois locations are way better than the Springfield location. I frequent the Oakland Ave location in Decatur, ILLINOIS and the US 51 location in Forsyth, IL for the best food, etc. Based here and best here.

The food was awesome. But the service was slow, and the prices keep gettinghigher. Plus there walk up windows were closed, so I had to walk around the building to get inside, to place my order. It was a nearly 20 minute wait. It wouldn't have been a problem, but I am in advanced heart failure, so it was "very difficult "
Still a great spot on the northern for lunch or dinner. Great ice
