Don Chencho Mexican Restaurant

We ordered outside their delivery venue. The gentleman called and was so kind and apologized for the error. We went to go and get our order and they had a huge slice of cheesecake waiting for us along with the tip in cash we had put on our order. Very kind, food was great and this establishment exceeded our expectations. We will be back to eat in person just for their awesome service. Well done, Don Chencho!!

The food is absolutely amazing! The people are great and I love the atmosphere!

The food wasn't bad, but definitely not the best Mexican I've had. Unfortunately they automatically add an 18% tip and since the staff don't have to work for it one was openly judgemental that I came in alone while seating me, another was abrupt to the point of being a bit rude, and the same one didn't listen when I told her simple things like what I was drinking for a refill. Maybe it was a bad day for them, but I don't live here and I won't return if passing through.

Not very good, shrimp were tuff, they cut up the chicken breast, it was not very good at all, we were the only people there, and I can see why. I think you should go to Zappatas in Collinsville 100 percent better.

Spent $46 on fajitas and they forget to add the tortillas for them. And also, was supposed to get a free 2liter of soda and the driver didn’t bring it. Called them and they said they would call me back after explaining to them about the delivery. She said 10 minutes. Never called.

Tonight I ordered take out for my first time. The food is delicious! I ordered chicken, shrimp, and steak fajitas and cheese dip but received fajita nachos (no tortillas, no rice or beans) and I paid for it. It was my mistake for not checking it more thoroughly before I left but I saw the fajita mix, chips, and cheese so I assumed the boxes were right. I called back to speak to the owner to let him know that they made a mistake to see if there was anything that they could do to make it right (not tonight but when I return on my next visit) but the owner argued with me and my wife over the phone about how wrong we were. His claim is “you said nachos” when clearly I said fajitas (sounds nothing like nachos). I’m debating eating here again but if I do then I’ll dine in because I’ll be able to address the mistake on the spot next time

Just got done eating here and this has probably been the best mexican restaurant i have ever been too. the service was great they were friendly, the food was AMAZING! and they were playing songs that i liked. 10/10 recommend going to eat here!

The tomato salad was spoiled.
Orchata water has a terrible perfume flavor. The meat tasted like nothing and nothing was cheap for the service offered.

They have auto gratuity very sneakily hidden in their menus & allegedly “displayed on the front entrance”. On the final merchant bill to leave a tip, no mention of the auto gratuity is on there & the suggested tip amounts for 15%, 20% and so on do NOT include the auto gratuity that was already included into the bill. Left all in all nearly a 50% tip that I called the store to remediate once I realized I had over tipped so much on the initial bill. The servers take full advantage of this system and put forth minimal effort. Our server on a very slow 4 pm dine in (1 of 3 3 tables in the whole place) did one check in our entire meal and did not even run their own food. Another server had to go out of their way and run our table’s food from the expo line because ours was nowhere to be found virtually the entire dining experience. I’d blame bad management, but when I called the store, multiple employees said “no manager was on duty”… no manager on duty 5pm on a Saturday dinner shift..? Yikes.
