Stopped in a whim from googling places to eat near me while visiting the area. Always like to try to support small businesses when I can instead of chain restaurants. Glad I did. Quaint place, but nice atmosphere and staff was very friendly. Food was good and portion was large. If ever in the area again would definitely go back

A Hidden Gem in Hampshire, IL!
I’ve driven past this cute little corner diner for years but was never up early enough to stop in and now I wish I had! It has that perfect cozy, country greasy spoon vibe, and the food was absolutely delicious.
Our waitress (I didn’t catch her name) was so personable and attentive, which really made the experience special. She even surprised our son by putting a birthday candle on his waffle without us asking...such a sweet gesture that made his birthday extra special (THANK YOU DARLIN!)

We might just make this a birthday tradition, and we’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend this little spot!

This place is so incredibly charming, from the space to the locals and obviously the food. But the staff was the winner.

Since there is a new owner two things have taken place. One: The prices of the food items have gone up clearly but to be fair - Inflation. Two: Some of the wait staff have become on the rude side. This saddens me since this always felt like a family kitchen. Also DON'T ask for an addiction to your order because there is no: "Sure we can do that." Your request is met with a: "NO we don't do that." OR "We can't do that." what was my outrageous request? 'Can I get extra butter on the side?' No not even for an 'upcharge'-! REALLY-! Now maybe the person who took my order was having a bad day but things have changed at my home kitchen place.

Family owned and local. Good food. Big portions. Parking can be tricky

A little gem. Always good. It's small so at peak times there's going to be a wait. But a chain can't compete with 100 years of history. Yes, they can run out of gravy. (Sad) And country fried steak is only available on weekends, probably the same for the cinnamon roll pancakes. So.... There's that. But a weekday day breakfast is without flaw. And that, in the world we live in, is increasingly rare.

A good old diner here! It's cute and family based. The chefs communicated with the servers verifying a special order and that did not go unnoticed. Thank you for that!

The food came out hot and can see the car this particular server had. I will be back!

Good food at a reasonable price. Staff is very friendly. We'll worn historic old building. Had breakfast listening to a couple of regulars discussing Harley Davidson motorcycles - long and loud.
