Stopped in a whim from googling places to eat near me while visiting the area. Always like to try to support small businesses when I can instead of chain restaurants. Glad I did. Quaint place, but nice atmosphere and staff was very friendly. Food was good and portion was large. If ever in the area again would definitely go back
A Hidden Gem in Hampshire, IL!
I’ve driven past this cute little corner diner for years but was never up early enough to stop in and now I wish I had! It has that perfect cozy, country greasy spoon vibe, and the food was absolutely delicious.
Our waitress (I didn’t catch her name) was so personable and attentive, which really made the experience special. She even surprised our son by putting a birthday candle on his waffle without us asking...such a sweet...

A little gem. Always good. It's small so at peak times there's going to be a wait. But a chain can't compete with 100 years of history. Yes, they can run out of gravy. (Sad) And country fried steak is only available on weekends, probably the same for the cinnamon roll pancakes. So.... There's that. But a weekday day breakfast is without flaw. And that, in the world we live in, is increasingly rare.
