Really meat-heavy menu . Prices aren't bad.
The few dishes I will eat have been good.
The service has either been excellent or terrible, no in-between. I doubt I'll go back unless it's somebody else's night to choose the restaurant.

My mother and I got food poisoning from this restaurant. Never going back. So disgusting.
Food is limited for vegetarians, but good. Grilled jalapeños are way overpriced for getting just four and having the sauce smashed into them, resulting in the bottom one’s cheese completely sticking to the above jalapeños. Will never order again.

My fiancé got the Smokehouse combo and said this place has the best bbq he’s ever had, hands-down. He’s big into bbq and particular with his meats - we asked the waitress, Sarah, where Copper Barrel gets their meat and she said from the butcher next door. This butcher also sells to restaurants in downtown Chicago on the “mag mile.” I got the smokehouse chicken which was literally half of a chicken and it was pretty good. I preferred the roast beef my fiancé had, so I’ll get that next time because we definitely will be back. Sarah, our waitress, was fantastic. We really liked the atmosphere there as well - you could come in more casually-dressed or arrive for a birthday dinner in a nicer outfit and it be appropriate for the setting. I highly recommend checking Copper Barrel out!
Kid-friendliness: Very kid-friendly. They have a special available on each day of the week, and Tuesday (the day we went) happened to be a “kids eat free” day! There were many families with kids during the dinner hour.
Wheelchair accessibility: Large, handicap bathroom stall.

The only edible thing we found on the menu was "Bacorn" - it's basically elotes with bacon bits. Their pot roast (which they inexplicably call "brisket") was not fresh, fried items all tasted of rancid oil, and the service on a light night was excruciatingly slow. Atmosphere is more bar than restaurant, and they're desperately trying to make up for slumping food sales by offering video gambling.
Dietary restrictions: Would not recommend if you're used to eating FOOD.
Kid-friendliness: Not child friendly. It's a bar with video gambling.

It is very loud inside. Waitress was great. I got the SMOKED turkey. There was no smoke taste at all. I was very disappointed. Cornbread, veggie and soup were good. I was just very disappointed in the meat.
