So being honest, it's super frustrating trying to figure out what's good here because it's consistently ON & OFF. I've been like 4 times and it's basically a guessing game. The grilled chicken tikka and chicken biriyani are 10/10, but the tikka masala is 1/10 super heavy cream with rubbery chicken, chicken boti again are chewy and the veg biryani is 0/10 because tbh who order it from halal restaurant. The food is good, but the tip seems to be mandatory here, even for pickup orders. The staff watches to see whether you select a tip while paying. If you don’t, they disappear right in front of you without even asking whether you need a receipt or not.

Standards may have dipped a bit, but I still come back. The owner and staff are fun, welcoming, and full of character. I truly hope they rekindle the fire that once set them apart and bring back that exceptional biryani to heat up Chicago again.
