The food was amazing. The salad was simple, but amazing. It wasn't a gourmet salad by any stretch, but it was so good. Then came the catfish fritters. Holy smokes were they good. I had some plain and they were top notch. I tried some with tartar and onion and they were top notch. Our server was the nicest, friendliest young woman. We wanted for nothing. And while we waited for our food, we watched the cars cross the bridge, and boats tooling up and down the river....
I rarely eat at places like this, and I was pleasantly surprised. It doesn’t look like much from the outside, but the fried chicken and the catfish fritters were very good! They were served hot. The meat is juicy on the inside, crispy on the outside, and has just the right amount of seasoning. The pieces are reasonable and the portions are generous. Service was good, restaurant was full, and the waitress was covering the whole floor. The only drawback is the restaurant temperature...
First time here. I saw a sign out front showing they have Hunt Brothers Pizza. I saw two more pizza signs in the entryway. Yet, they do not serve pizza! It was nowhere on the 6 page menu. Very disappointing.
So I ordered a $7 cheese burger. No side is included, that's another $3,75 for fries. Food was ok. Not good, but not bad.
My wife had the patty melt. She said it was a 7 out of 10.
