We drove 35 miles to try this place. The walleye serving was huge and great! The catfish fritters were good, but slightly underdone. Fries were very good and plentiful. The German potato salad was not homemade, tiny portion and tasted like canned. The potato salad tasted like pre-made. Overall I would definitely eat here again, but would get different sides.

We took our Mom out for some fish. This place didnt disappoint. We ordered the Buffalo fritters. They were lightly breaded.. so good!! Try the cucumber salad too. Next to the river so there's nice views.

Food and service is always on point. Unfortunately this last visit the service was mediocre at best. Our server had a poor attitude and didn't seem to know to say or respond to thank you. We had to ask other servers for refills and other needs

Me and my fiance just decided to get out of dodge and head somewhere we've never been before. We picked this restaurant based on the reviews. This place was around an hour away from where we live. It was a nice scenic drive. The town is a small older town and the building isn't fancy but has ample parking. Inside isn't fancy either but is full of country charm. The food however was wonderful. I had a Brisket Philly sandwich and my fiance had a Pork Tenderloin sandwich. The brisket was devine... Perfectly cooked and as a philly sandwich really great. Lots of flavor. They loaded it with plenty of grilled onions and peppers. Delicious. My fiance said you could tell that the pork tenderloin was homemade and probably the best one he's had compared to other places we've been. Then we both got a slice of peach pie to take home. That was definitely homemade. The pie was delicious as well. Perfect with a little homemade whipped cream on top. It was worth the drive in my opinion.

Arrived by boat and had a delicious catfish dinner with the best coleslaw ever. We missed having their breakfast on a Tuesday morning, but sat out a thunderstorm and caught a rainbow instead.

Very nice setting on the Illinois River. The food and service were great.
My experience here was 10/10. I was waiting a very short time to catch a boat and starving, I called and asked how soon they could have some lunch ready & was given multiple options they could have ready fast, house smoked brisket sandwich was no joke best I’ve ever had. Hidden gem, very pretty and very kind waitress greeted me with a smile and delivered EXACTLY what I was looking for. This brisket sandwich was ready in 5 mins & no joke I think thee best I’ve ever had. Next time I am in Hardin hopefully I am able to sit down and enjoy the full menu of options however for my situation and experience they were perfect for me.
Affordable, delicious, friendly, welcoming (to an outsider), excellent service. I couldn’t ask for more A+++
And to the lady that checked me out, I told ya I’d leave a review & here I am. That brisket sandwich was terrific. Thanks for the smile!

I couldn't stop eating the Catfish Fritters. So fresh and light with some thick pieces of fish. My husband really liked the beef brisket sandwich. He said the BBQ sauce was great on the sandwich. We might have to drive the three hours to eat here again!
