Julie is an absolute ray of sunshine and so easy to work with. When I went in for my tasting, I really liked the bow on the cake that she had done for other weddings but liked the idea of giving the bow a border or outlining it. She said she has not done that yet but willing to try and see if she can make it work. Our cake was absolutely stunning! Attached are pictures. Her work is flawless and the cake tasted amazing! Highly recommend the almond flavor cake with the putter pecan cream cheese filling! To die for!! If you’re in need of a cake, ask Julie, she is insanely talented!!

This past June marked the very first time trying a cake from the famed Julie Michelle and was well worth the trip from our house in Beach Park, IL.
So my wife had been following her on Instagram for a few years now dating back to when she was expecting Coco and was dying to finally have a cake made from her.
When my wife mentioned she bought a cake from a cakery about an hour from home, I was like "uuhh in which direction?" She showed me on Google maps and I was like "that's past Lake Geneva, wow!"
My wife mentioned that Mrs. Michelle was highly rated and showed me the rave reviews & ratings so I mentioned I'd gladly take her out there to pick it up.
Her daughter/my stepdaughter was arriving home after her first full year of college in Nashville and it was her 19th b-day on June 2nd so it was our chance to try a JM cake and was absolutely wonderful.
The 1-hour trip was worth it and this down-to-earth friendly woman owns a lovely business of making beautiful cakes in a small town just a few miles south of one the state's most popular destinations.
If ever another special occasion comes up, a local-owned business like Julie Michelle Cakes is most definitely a must. I wish for continued success & prosperity for Julie & family.

She created a trio of cakes for a baby shower and her suggestions for offering different flavors was a huge hit. The theme was baby farm animals and it was truly a work of art.

We loved our experience at our tasting! It tasted just as good, if not better than when we had it the first time! We picked 2 cake flavors with different fillings. Our 3-tier cake was simple but elegant with pearls scattered through out. Thank you SO much Julie!!! We can’t wait to keep getting yummy cakes or cupcakes from you whenever we are in the Lake Geneva area or for our future special events :)
