This is a cozy little mom and pop place that resembles one of the many little family-owned homemade food and sundry stores found throughout the Philippine archipelago. It is very quaint, dimly-lit, homey, and I love it because of that. Upon entering, you can find some frozen goods, then the register, and a short, narrow hallway with canned goods, condiments, snacks, and ingredients on the right. And their freshly made dishes behind a glass counter with heating elements on the left. Their food is delicious and tastes very much like any and all genuinely homemade cooking prepared with skillful hands that know reverence, community, and sincerity, which defines all of Philippine cousine, regardless of region. This place may not be for all, but it does attract those who recognize the familiar feeling of being in a family member's kitchen that loves to cook and the nostalgia that comes with it. Their eggrolls and vegetable lumpia are very delicious, as is their fried bangus (milk fish), dinuguan (stewed pork), and lechón. I included a few pictures of those in conjunction with some of my family's own homemade Filipino dishes, as I find that what we don't make but can find here at Max is an excellent compliment to what we do make on our own. Again, this is an excellent, quaint, hole-in-the-wall place to grab a bite to eat and acquire some groceries. And if you're seeking the familiarity of a delicious, home-cooked meal made with love by a family member that enjoys cooking, then head on over and check them out.

Vegetarian options: Filipino cousine is not really known for their vegetarian dishes, but you can try their vegetable lumpia (eggrolls).

Dietary restrictions: If you have high cholesterol and hypertension, then I would recommend you eat certain Filipino foods very sparingly. There's also not many gluten-free options.

Parking: There's a free parking lot out front with ample parking, as Max is in a little strip mall and shares a space with other stores and restaurants.

Kid-friendliness: There's a bunch of sweet snacks that I'm sure kids would love.

Wheelchair accessibility: This is tricky. There's a bit of a tight turn upon entering, and as the shop is quaint and narrow, there is not much elbow room for patrons when it's packed, let alone an assisted mobile device.

Will drop by again in the future when in the area and I recommend anyone to stop by and check out the place! 10/10.

HORRIBLE service .selling food that is not freshly cooked..I bought menudo from the counter.. it smell and taste awful like been cooked days ago .I was afraid to eat it for safety..so I end up tossing it on garbage bin. To the management please don't sell your left over food on display the day after..it's not acceptable practice in any restaurant/ eatery. IN food service handling safety first of customer..All cooked food have duration/ expiration . (not until supply last..)

Presentation isn’t everything. I don’t judge by looks. I was praying that it would taste better than it looks. Unfortunately, it was the WORST TURON I have ever had in my life. Crispy BUT Burnt. Hard plantain inside & extremely chewy. 2 stars for the effort.

This place is NOT open 24 hours. Literally sitting in front of here and the lady inside rushed to lock the door and resume to tell me they're closed

Very clean and convenient place. They offer big meals and for fair rates. We enjoyed the meals very much and the waiters were super friendly and explanatory. Will definitely recommend this restaurant.
