The worst frozen cake I've ever try, very rude personal, the cake was old , the personal didn't want to help with the issue, never in my life go to that store ,so think twice before you go to buy a frozen cake, and for a high price.Very upset about situation.
Quick service, delicious pastries and muffins!
Good place
This is my favorite place if I have a desire for something sweet! I love quality and for almost 20 years of using this place, I have never been disappointed. I understand this place is not cheap but let’s be honest for quality expect to pay a little bit more and im ok with that. Polish bakery is the best in my area.
P.S. After reading some reviews with 1 star with some short explanation and no pictures whatsoever from the profile how has only 1 review - its very simple for me this is nothing more like destroying the reputation of this location! It work same how giving 5 stars without out picture or explanation. Be careful how you trust.
The “Rum and raisins” babka looked good but turned out half soggy and at the same time dry if that’s somehow even possible. It’s like a 3 day old brioche that sat on a wet plate. I was expecting pound cake. I’m embarrassed to serve it for Easter.
The poppyseed roll is also very dry and not a lot of poppyseed filling.
The almond “croissant” is also not a French croissant, but something dry too.
Person who served me was very nice though.
Love the cakes, absolutely delicious every single cake that Oak mills has.
Every birthday cake that I need, I just come straight here because I can’t go wrong with their cakes.
Also always enjoy getting some treats on the go.
Very disappointed ☹️, I paid a lot of money for the birthday cake 🎂, but cake was old and tastes bad, my guests are very disappointed. Cake looks great only outside. Long time ago Oak Mill bakery was the best place to buy cake, but not anymore. When you change a lot of money for the cake, people should love it. That was a waste of money. 👎
I purchased poppy seeds cake today. It used to be great, moist, soft. Today it was absolutely awful! Very dry and hard. Almost needed a saw to slice it. Terrible! Probably very old. I also purchase a cheese cake which was bad as well. Not coming back! They also would not sell half of a bread loaf, just a full loaf. Very expensive but much worse quality than last time I was there. And it was right before Christmas when bakeries should have fresh stuff. The biggest surprise was when I paid with credit card and there was a screen asking for a tip! Really? Wow.

There is no surprise why they don't display the prices of the cakes.
Yesterday I stopped by this bakery to purchase a SMALL cake, for which I paid $45, crazy expensive.
Yeah, that’s true, I could have go to another place but I was running out of time.
If you have time I recommend to go somewhere else.
The quality of the cake doesn’t match the price. Nothing special, there is no difference between their cake and Jewel Osco cakes! Message for the company: I understand the inflation, but if you choose to increase the prices then you should choose good quality ingredients and good work on the textures!

If you could give 0 stars for the service, I would give it, don't buy the poppy seed cake there because it's old and they say it's fresh, don't buy the cakes because they say it's fresh but it's frozen, tiramisu $80 and all that to fuck, the liars in the service are a disaster

Really great family owned bakery. I love all the pastries and cakes. Everyone that works here is so friendly and the baked goods are the best in the Chicagoland area.

2 days ago I bought a pear cake for my child's birthday. Unfortunately, it was spoiled, sour and had an unpleasant smell, which resulted in poisoning. I will add that I have been a faithful customer for 20 years. I see more similar opinions, so it is not an isolated case. Location: Harwood Heights.

Cake was past spoiled! It was fermented!!! We got the specialty cake called SUMMER CAKE, the strawberries were very sour but to make things worst the strawberry whipped cream inside was not just sour but bubbly and fermented! I got this cake last year and it was amazing and their cheaper option for $37, now they almost DOUBLED their price to $57!!!! Insanity for old cake!!!
