I stopped at Peeple's for two tacos. I should have left after the lady at the counter showed little to no customer service. I asked her if the chicken was shredded. She said that it's chicken breast. She did not answer my question but it's actually the way she answered that is the issue. There was more dialogue about sauce but too much to type. Just know that she has no customer service skills and spoke to me as though she was doing me a favor. I briefly looked down at my phone and when I looked up, she was in the food prep area preparing my food. I HOPE she washed her hands before handling my food. She went from the register to preparing food - No apron, nothing covering her clothes. I'm not sure if she had on gloves or not. The chicken tacos I received barely had any chicken which WAS NOT CHICKEN BREAST. The tacos were actually disgusting. There were very BIG pieces of onions, wilted lettuce, and mushy tomatoes on the tacos. I tried to call but was placed on hold and was unable to hold for long. I would have taken the tacos back but had left the area. I will not visit this establishment again.

I gave them a 2 because of the service. The lady with the big eyelashes the cashier was very rude to my friend who was placing the order. She was confusing my friend on purpose with her order and arguing with her. She thought it was funny. My friend maintained her composure and tried to be reasonable.

Went there and was greeted with a smile as soon as I entered. Staff is very courteous and friendly. Food was absolutely delicious. My experience was very good. Definitely going back!

As hard as it is for me to say this I am not at all impressed I feel like some of these social media influencers just say anything because there is absolutely no way that this location is nothing more than driving off of the west side of Chicago's location and Lord knows I hate to deal with the attitude the shortness the very very long wait literally got cussed by the cook at the West Side location today but the food was delicious this is the last thing that my mother ate before she gave birth to me so maybe that's why I love the tacos so much I don't know but the food at this Hazel Crest location is not at all close to the level on the out west location it was so hard to say the least it is nice that they have a special and it's awesome that you can use your car even though you have to pay an additional fee to use a card that's okay I got up charged for onions lettuce and tomatoes but the cashier suggests the stuff she asked me that I wanted I said ok just to realize that I was charged for it then I asked for special order paid for the special order didn't get what I paid for the onions were huge in my opinion and I think that I had tomatoes and onions with a side of ground beef won't be going back and it's okay I just want to say how I feel and how I felt and how much as I hate going to the west side of Chicago and being talked to like my food is free if I do decide that I'm having a craving for these tacos guess I'll have to deal with it if you made it through this then you are the real VIP can you may agree or disagree with how I feel about the experience but it was not at all all that the best part about it like I said is that you get free fries for the special as well as you can use your debit or credit card for a small fee of course but do not make any special requests because you're definitely going to pay for it and then you're not going to get what you paid for

I went to the one in Hazel Crest. Never coming back. Took 30 mins for some cheese fries, 2 steak tacos and 2 chicken tacos with no flavor. The cheese fries consisted of 10 fries with a slice of cheese melted on it.

I was not expecting those tacos to taste so flavorful! Only thing I didn’t like is if the wait time is going to be 20-30min they shld have some chairs in the lobby I was tired of standing. Other than that great food !
I love Peeples Tacos. I'm glad they now have a south Suburban location. I use to travel all the way to the Westside to grab some of their tacos. From my experience the food is always good and they are always a vibe. They keep a smile on their face and is always pleasant.

A treasure to try! Never heard of this place and unfortunately missed it all these years. This restaurant has been around for over 70 years on Chicago and 2 years in this location. Great tacos! The shells were nice with a buttery taste to them. The mear was tender and plenty ingredients in the tacos. The wait wasn't long for the food.
The owner was helpful with our order and telling us about the family business as well as what tacos might suit us. He has a jerk chicken taco but it's not foe the weak taste buds person. You're not going to run down the street like Richard Pryor on fire but you probably will run for a drink to cool your mouth down.
The fries were tasty. They put slices of cheese and melt it on the grill on top. I haven't had them that way since childhood.
The lemonades and teas are a must. A Variety of flavors for everyone.
A must try and keep coming back place. Y? Why Not!

I was born and raised out west where they originated from and I grew up on these tacos. The best in the west. When I heard they had opened one up in the South Suburbs where I have relocated, I was so happy to hear this. They are still the best taco place out south!!! The customer service is awesome and the taste is top tier!!! I will definitely be back AND will spread the word!!! I LOVE YOU GUYS!!!! Peeples Tacos are #1
