A treasure to try! Never heard of this place and unfortunately missed it all these years. This restaurant has been around for over 70 years on Chicago and 2 years in this location. Great tacos! The shells were nice with a buttery taste to them. The mear was tender and plenty ingredients in the tacos. The wait wasn't long for the food.
The owner was helpful with our order and telling us about the family business as well as what tacos might suit us. He has a jerk chicken taco but it's not foe the weak taste buds person. You're not going to run down the street like Richard Pryor on fire but you probably will run for a drink to cool your mouth down.
The fries were tasty. They put slices of cheese and melt it on the grill on top. I haven't had them that way since childhood.
The lemonades and teas are a must. A Variety of flavors for everyone.
A must try and keep coming back place. Y? Why Not!

I was born and raised out west where they originated from and I grew up on these tacos. The best in the west. When I heard they had opened one up in the South Suburbs where I have relocated, I was so happy to hear this. They are still the best taco place out south!!! The customer service is awesome and the taste is top tier!!! I will definitely be back AND will spread the word!!! I LOVE YOU GUYS!!!! Peeples Tacos are #1

Wow, this place just brought back some fond memories. I was a teenager, just learning to drive and have a little independence. My siblings, cousins and maybe a friend or 2 would go bowling with us and when we finished bowling we would grab a bite to eat afterwards. It was the only place at that time and those tacos hit the spot then and they hit the spot now. Definitely want to try the jerk and the turkey tacos next.

I went to support a black owned business and was disappointed. Customer service was top tier. The food was horrible and over priced. I bought 2 steak tacos, 2 beef tacos and fries. I ordered corn shells and they actually put 3 shells on each taco. No wonder all I could taste was hunks of lettuce and shells. The beef had no flavor and tasted like dog food. I don't know what the steak tasted like, but it didn't taste like steak! I didn't even eat the fries. It was a waste of $20. I won't be back. I will stick with my normal taco places. A taco definitely doesn't need 3 shells. I had to put 1 star so I did. Great customer service though!
Black owned !! And delicious!! That jerk taco was a hit and some of the best tacos i had in a long time!! I will be back

Came to the lot to get popcorn. Saw this place for first time. Had a chicken and steak taco. 🌮. They’re so delicious. Food was hot. Tasty 🤤. And yummy. I had to come back. They have a special. 3/10. Very good food. Everything was fresh. I’ll always come back. Great customer service too. The young lady at cashier was is very polite. Clear with reading back order. And they black owned. Great job 👏 you guys. Very good prices.

They are slow as heck, not only that I called an hour in advance and they just started making my tacos with I got there and then took there time making them. I honestly HATE supporting black business like this.
