Well, to be honest… none of the Popeyes in my area are good, but ANY Popeyes is better than the one on Governors Hwy, in Richton Park, IL. The only problem I had here is when I saw one of the workers making my chicken sandwich without gloves (YUCK!), he stated that he only did it because he was in a rush. If I hadn’t already bypassed the Popeyes (in Richton Park, IL.) closer to my home, and I had extra time to waste going to another one… I would have tried to find a more sanitary location. I really wish they would close the location in Richton Park, IL., or re-staff it with workers who actually “GAD” about their customers. Smh.

Much better since new ownership got settled in! No longer need to hire a posse to find a bean in the beans and rice. I used to call it rice and brown water. The spicy chicken sandwich has also improved dramatically. It's not presented as a slapped together mess anymore although it could use a bit more of the sauce.

DON'T PATRONIZE THIS BUSINESS !!!! any longer if they keep the manager named Anthony employee at this Popeyes in Homewood I will not be coming back I purchased two chicken sandwiches yesterday and something happened which made it impossible for me to go and pick them up I got a ride today went up there with my receipt show the manager named Anthony. Who was seem to be very distant disinterested unempathetic to my situation, unkind impolite unprofessional, and just plain didn't want to help me. He told me and I'm speaking about the manager Anthony that I could not get my chicken sandwiches because I purchased them yesterday and he threw them away because I did not come. What business would not keep his customers happy because they paid for food that costed $8 and then you tell them they can't receive it because it was bought yesterday and wasn't picked up. I had an emergency and could not pick up my food however I did show Anthony the manager the receipt he did not seem to care at all. If The SHOULDN'T be manager named Anthony stays at this location I will no longer patronize this business. Mind you I would come here five times a week I knew all the employees and the other managers but I moved away and was not able to continue to come to this popeyes. However if I was ever in the area I always stopped in spoke to everyone and ordered my regular three-piece chicken tenders for my autistic daughter. I have not been treated this way ever at this location until tonight by the SHOULDN'T be manager Anthony

1st of all— I come to this location frequently because the food was usually always fresh & mainly the customer service is always excellent. Not last night. The lady— SHIVANI working the window HAD THE NASTIEST ATTITUDE. They have a 3 for $5 deal. Went to order she says no it’s only thru the app…ok fine. No big deal. I asked her was a I able to grab it from the drive thru or come inside? She act like she didn’t know what I was saying.

Anyhow—I placed my order pull to the window— I explained that it wouldn’t let me select my pieces & she tells me the pieces are already set (leg, wing & thigh). I let her know I don’t eat thighs…she says ok would you like a breast. I say yes please. She comes back to window stating I couldn’t bc it’s more expensive…..mind you it was only $1 upcharge. (And it doesn’t even reflect that on the receipt) When she could have just led with that instead of telling me what I can’t do? It’s ONE dollar? I say ok then can you just cancel it & I’ll order just a regular combo where I can pick my own pieces. She gets rude asf, telling me again what I can & can’t do? At this point I’m irritated cause why are you trying to give me a hard time about some damn chicken????

So I told her ok I’ll just cancel it thru the app then she goes or we can just charge you an extra $1 for the breast. Again YOU COULD HAVE LED WITH THAT INSTEAD OF MAKING IT A BIG DEAL? She proceeds to gaslight me…I let her know she was being a bit rude. I asked for a manager cause at that point idc to deal with her.

She starts getting loud telling me there is no manager there... mind you it was only 8pm. So I start getting loud. I asked her if she was new cause I never seen her at all before she says no she’s been there just never seem working the front or drive thru ( which makes sense cause her customer service is terrible) I was actually baffled with this experience because I’ve NEVERRRR had a terrible experience like that with this location. Everyone is usually pleasant & accommodating. Will be up there today. They need to keep her ass in the back if she’s willing to argue with customers about chicken????

The drive thru cashier tried to steal my credit card ! She handed me my food but did not return my card - on purpose!!
She watched while I searched my purse and car for my missing card and said nothing . When I confronted her and asked “Do you have my card” ? She sheepishly returned it - no apology or anything. I lodged a complaint with customer service and no response. This is not over !! Next step is Corporate and social media - this employee needs to disciplined!

I had a bad experience at Popeyes Chicken. Today I ordered 12 chicken wings. The Server said that it would take 5 to 7 minutes. After 20 minutes she said 7 more minutes. After 12 more minutes and a total of 32 minutes, I requested a refund and walked away.

Before I get started, I want to say I could tried calling this place two times before posting this, but they won’t pick up. I was not going to get in my car to go take the order back up there and waste more gas. I was disappointed this time because my food was hard and Cold and not good at all In which is a shock because I have always got good food since they have taken over at this location I have always got great customer service at this location as well, but tonight was different when I walked in. I just felt a different vibe. Not the vibe I always get in there, that was number one and now to get a meal that was not good and very cold and hard, I feel like it’s a lot of you guys up in there. You should have at least one person answer the phone when customers have an issue. Don’t have the establishment going down like the other ones did. they was getting bad business. Keep up the good work. You guys were doing good all this time. Don’t let it go down. That’s what happens in a lot of restaurants. People get too comfortable keep doing a good job,( to the management team.) Make sure you guys are still on top of everything with the staff for me to write this Review Says a lot

Food isn’t fresh, portions are smaller in size. The Indians running this restaurant are only concerned with profit. The quantity and quality of the food is subpar. Some of my Chicken had dark brown spots on the meat.
