Henry Harbor Marina is a great stop on the Illinois river. They are helpful, friendly and have gas, diesel, pump out, seasonal/transient dockage and pontoon rental. The town offers multiple dining options, grocery, hardware and other cruising necessities. MaryFrances and Dave will go the extra mile. They helped us with rides to the airport and assisted us with pulling our boat our of the water.

Good stop between Heritage Harbor, Ottawa, IL and Peoria especially when you have to wait at a lock and it’s getting late. Not fancy at all but tie ups along long old Lock Wall can be managed. After gas dock, get off boat & tie to rebar that’s bent over. Silt in Marina so check with owners, 3.5 draw OK inside - others tie outside. Mex restaurant up hill OK, Dairy Queen great🤣

It took me 15 minutes to get a drink. There were only two people sitting at the bar. The bartender was to busy flirty with another patron and talking to her friends. Very disappointing.
Stopped in at this cute riverside restaurant for a bite of supper on a Sunday. All of the patio tables were dirty. Not a good sign. We sat down anyway and used napkins to wipe our own table. After ordering from a fairly standard bar menu, we waited and waited for our meals. When my husband finally went in to get an ETA on our food, the server was at the bar busily flirting with customers. After finally getting her attention he returned to our table. When the food came out it was lukewarm at best and had obviously been sitting for awhile. The meal was okay, but it's sad that this is the best I can say for it. With staff that cared more about quality, cleanliness, and customer service, this well located restaurant could be a winner. But until then, we won't be going back.
