I used to really enjoy coming to this restaurant. The food was consistently tasty and it was one of my favorite breakfast spots. It's been several months since I've been to Sammie's and unfortunately, my most recent visit was a big disappointment. I ordered the biscuits and gravy with sausage, which used to be a favorite of mine, but this time it was bland, barely hot, and the sausage tasted off—almost like it had been reheated or wasn’t fresh. Very cozy and friendly. Good coffee. Resonaly priced. Plentiful portions. The only place I know to get a good Irish breakfast. So good. Hubby had the strip steak. Big piece of gristle and fat. But the rest of the steak was very tasty. I ordered over medium eggs...they were well done. Other then that....I enjoyed my breakfast. I also ordered the tomato pasta soup. I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was a tomato broth with anelli pasta...small rings. Delicious.

The perfect breakfast stop. Cozy diner feel with a good selection of breakfast selections. Not the "pre-fab" breakfast items of the big box food franchises. Instead you get homemade breakfast selections.
