Omg this is the diamond in the rough !!! Out in Hillsdale Illinois, on Main Street , great menu Hugh salad bar . I had the 18oz prime rib dinner with salad bar and a potato, also had apple pie with ice cream , very reasonably priced !! Well worth the drive !!

The second time we went here after a great experience last time. It was not so good this time. The service was terrible. Waited over 30 minutes to place our order. Then, once we got the our food we were almost done eating before we got checked on to see if we needed any refills or if there were any issues with the food. Not sure what was different this time but it was not a good experience.

We had dinner at the Prime Steakhouse in Hillsdale Illinois there was a group of 15 of us that we made reservations for our waitress was clearly overwhelmed from the start, should have had two.1. Salad bar was across from the register only a 5ft isle so your bumping into folks trying to pay their bill while trying to get your ?2. Wife and my meals cost $40.00 plus dollars ea. (Not a bad price for the portions) Steaks came out lukewarm and our potatoes came out about 10 min later after we reminded waitress.--no sour cream or butter. My hash browns cook to a crisp almost burnt , Myself I would have been ashamed to bring these to a customer's table. And they will also decide how much you tip because you are with a group. Sorry never again, that is a decision that I will make based on my waitress job and demeanor.On the positive side the portions were nice lukewarm but nice and wine sauce and mushrooms very good, but I would say give them a try maybe it was a bad day for us.BUT DEFINITELY DO NOT LIKE BEING TOLD WHAT I WILL TIP A WAITRESS! YOU ARE SMALL TOWN NOT NEW YORK CITY.P.S CHANGE THE SALAD BAR LOCATION.

Absolutely fantastic. The garlic butter sirloin is a beef lover's delight. Salad bar includes homemade potato salad and pickled beets. Great place to stop on the west end of I-88. 1960's style supper club atmosphere.

amazing service very nice people.Atmosphere You gotta understand it’s a family business, so it’s not amazing but it could be a little more clean like dusty in the place.Food is good, I don’t suggest their Italian food like pasta. I would suggest their ribs are amazing and I wish they put it on their menu and the bar with salad is really good. when they do get busy, you gotta understand. It will be cramped with the parking and inside. It’s a very small restaurant, but I would recommend if you want to go get some food.Parking: it’s a condensed crowded place. with a lot of homes and there’s a bar next-door. and when they are very busy, it’s not really easy to park.Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly here! Even though there's a bar.very nice understanding people who visit and work there, to the kidsWheelchair accessibility: When you start going to the front. It has a slop but then there will be 1 step up by the door.how cramped it will be in there. You should be fine very friendly service and the people who eat there.

Recently moved to hillsdale. Heard about the “steak place” in town...finally stopped in to try it out with a friend. I travel all over the country and try different foods so this was pleasant experience here. Garlic New York strip was superb. Prepared perfectly seasoned well and tasted amazing. Definitely recommend going to this joint.

It was a relaxing place to have dinner with the husband. A coworker oof his recommended it, so we went. Food was good service was great. I would definitely go back. Again and recommend anyone who likes a good steak to go
First time visiting here based on online recommendations and word of mouth. Wife and I had the top sirloins with western deep fried baked potatoes and salad bar, ALL of which were terrific! The service was also exceptional, and we did not have to wait to get seated on a Saturday evening slightly after opening. We will definitely be back!

Everything would've been typically exceptional, except I must complain that when you're spending $40 on a steak, nobody wants to hear a screeching toddler!!! Folks take your damn kids to McDonald's or something! It's completely disrespectful to not get a babysitter when going out to nice places like this!
