The worst place to get rib tips from! The rub tips were tuff it was like chewing shoe leather. They only give you about 5 fries. I spent 20.88 for a large rib tip. Stay far away!!!

My rib tips was spoiled and nasty they had an order that was unforgettable I will never go back taste your food before you leave and they turn off the phone and my coleslaw was spoiled .don’t go in there.

My first time here !!! Walked in and asked pit master what should I have? Without skipping a beat says a HUNGRY MAN special. I agreed. As a teen my parents would order BBQ from the many local BBQ places throughout Chicagoland. To the west there were Rib Barzaar, Rib Supreme, Joe's, Uncle Remus etc, to the north Farmer's Brown etc, to the south Lem's, etc. When it came to Joe's, my parents would by pass Joe's. I would go, mom, dad, let's try that Joe's place. They would always refuse. Fast forward, as an adult with my own family within my chosen community there is a Joe's. For nostalgic reasons I decided to try Joe's (Hillside) let's just say now i understand why my parents chose not to order Joe's BBQ back in the day. Joe's is most definitely a hit or miss. (Joe's Fish sticks are questionable).
This place is straight up garbage, saving money and go somewhere else actually I Should havelisten to the reviews

I ordered 6 wings with mild sauce, they were old. I called and complained they told me to come back that order was not good the fries taste like they were soaked in grease. I will not support Joe's BBQ

Always a good experience when I go in to pick up my call in order, food is hot and ready to go! Service is always on point and the vibe is amazing! True Chicago spot outside of Chicago! Reminds u of back in the day when Chicago was the place to be!
I ordered the three-piece chicken meal and was really disappointed. The chicken had a strong, unpleasant smell and tasted off — almost sour/bloody scent. My stomach hurts as I write this review. One of the pieces even appeared undercooked and had visible blood inside. I expected much better quality and food safety. Unfortunately, I won’t be returning.
