First time in today, came around 12:45 for a quick lunch and the place was quite empty. Very clean but sort of a strange vibe with a few metal tables and a bar/cash register area. Not very cozy, but not a big deal as it seems this may be more of a spot to come at night. They also have liquor and a slot machine area.
The lady was very kind to me and to a few customers who came in for carryout while I was there.
I ordered 2 steak tacos w/cilantro and onion. She brought me chips and salsa which were a bit disappointing. I’m 85% sure the chips were store bought, and the 2 types of salsa came in small plastic disposable containers.
Besides being wasteful, the containers were small making it tough to dip the chips into and although it was good there was not nearly enough sauce…. to be fair I’m sure the lady would have given me more if I asked. My water also came in a disposable cup.
The tacos were good, not great… 6.8/10. The steak was a little dry and the tortillas were a bit chewy. There were also some fairly large chunks of onion that needed to be diced up more. I liked that they use white onion instead of red onions.
I loaded them up with some of the green sauce she gave me in a bottle and they were decent. Wouldn’t mind more sauce options with the meal, usually there is at least green and red…I got both with the chips so maybe they just forgot.
For the price, the meal was good and I get the feeling the tacos are usually better. The lady who served me also was doing the cooking so she may not have had the time to get everything perfect.

Great authentic casual Mexican restaurant. I ordered the steak taco dinner. Three steak tacos on corn tortillas, and rice and beans. Tortillas were properly heated, steak was seasoned perfectly with cilantro and onions on top. Refried beans were homemade and so was the rice. The red and green salsa were also homemade and I really enjoyed the total experience.

Authentic Mexican food right in the heart of Hillside.
The horchata and street tacos are staples in our household.
The staff is friendly and the place is extraordinarily clean.
For parking, try either side of Butterfield road or in the spillover lot down the block.

Best tacos in the area. Much better than the place down the street. Smaller menu, but they focus on some solid items. Their tacos are great, every one. They come out fast, too. The prices are decent.
The sauces are kinda creamy, so you may or may not like it. I don't care for them, but my partner loves using the leftover ones in everything.
There's a small bar with liquor and beer fridge, but I've never sat down to eat there. There's a TV, usually playing music channels.
The inside is relatively small, but most people do takeout. I usually go during the afternoons, however, when it doesn't seem very busy. I don't know why it's not more popular, this place is great.
Parking: There's a parking strip along the front and residential street on the other side of the corner.
Wheelchair accessibility: No stairs, on sidewalk level.

Ordered online, waited the time necessary. Tell them I'm there for my order and they bring the wrong one out. Says they didn't receive my order, but once refreshed the page, it popped up. Then had to wait another 15-20 min to get my food made. Because it was rushed, it wasn't the best. Things were thrown together in the boxes. I'm not saying it was their fault or the internet fault, but nothing else but an apology was offered. Waiting 40 min for eh food was a bit much. The one in Berkeley is better.

had my husband order 3 chicken tacos on flour tortillas with cilantro lettuce tomatoes and onion got the tacos on corn tortillas they were good but I am sensitive to corn tortillas and lactose intolerant. I wish they would follow the instructions and give you what you order? Also would be wise for them to follow customer requests after all I am lactose intolerant!
