I went here today because it was good a month ago and what a difference. I ordered the fried chicken wing dinner the wing dinner came in four but I wanted six and instead of her telling me she will charge everything separatelyshe overcharged me i didn't trip because it was what i wanted and that was the only way to get it.I paid and waited for my food ate it in my car and the chicken was flavorless, the mac and cheese didn't taste like cheese was in it, the greens tasted like canned Glory greens sub par and the yams were mushy. I was willing to deal with everything except the mac so I took it back and asked for something else and the owner said with an attitude no refunds or exchanges so I threw most of the food in the trash where it belongs. I'm very disappointed because I was looking forward to eating here frequently but will not anymore horrible business and not worth $27.00.

Visiting from out of town for work, was meeting a friend and decided to try out Vari’s. They had the best pork chops and Mac n Cheese I’ve ever had.Very small and cozy restaurant, staff was very friendly, food was delicious.Would definitely make a trip here again for the food.

It’s a cute place but that’s about it.. the music was so loud I had to scream just to place my order, the food was “ok” if that’s southern food then it’s not any part of the south I’m not aware. Best soul food in town. The fried ribs, mac and cheese, sweet potatoes and red beans and rice were amazing and very flavorful. I recommend you check this hidden gem out.
The worst soul food. I had a fried rib tip meal . It was so nasty . The rib tips were extra salty some were over cooked. The sweet potatoes was sugar and syrup mashed up it had a dirty nasty taste. The Mac n cheese was so nasty.. I don’t know what they used and it was cold when they gave it to me. I couldn’t eat the food and was press for time because I was headed to work. They gave a mild sauce the lid came off on top of my sweet potatoes. It was the grand opening day . And it deserves no stars I will not return I put the entire meal in the trash can . I had no time to go back .

I had the ribs, cornbread, sweet potatoes, asparagus, and shrimp and grits. I'm a Northern boy raised on Southern cooking and really had a craving for some comfort food tonight. This very much hit the spot! It was fun stumbling upon this hidden gem during their grand opening. We had no clue what we were getting ourselves into, but we were not disappointed. Highly recommended.

Soul food egg roll delicious. I couldn't eat the red beans and rice. The beans had a nice flavor but the batch of rice they gave me was wet and tasted like water. I believe who ever made my batch of rice used too much water. I will definitely go back and try so more items on the menu
Everything was amazing. We had the fried catfish, boom boom shrimp, mac and cheese, greens, cabbage, soul food egg rolls and peach cobbler egg rolls. Service was very friendly. We’ll definitely be back.

The lamb chops was ok not as seasoned as i would like. I also wanted to try their asparagus but they were out so i had tried the cabbage. The cabbage was mushy but they had flavor so everything was just ok.
