Great home-made soups for carryout, and meaty crab-cakes.
Customer service is horrible. I told the kid to cut me 6 to 8 ounces, he cut four, and was trying to make me take the other piece of the fish because he screwed up. Whole Foods will do
It’s the best place in the area for fresh fish!! ???
Super friendly guys in there. Great freezer case options, fresh seafood, salmon burgers are great. Lobster kits on Thursday. Fresh salads are nice. Sell misc such as cedar planks, grill tools, seasonings etc. Easy in n out. Grilled the salmon burgers tonight 6/15...fabulous!!!!
Always excellent product. Very helpful staff that always answer our questions. We are moving away after six years and will greatly miss Burhops
SEAFOOD SALMON CHOWDER WAS AWESOME !!!!
Good selection of quality items.
Way over priced. Bought 1 lb. of Swordfish cost just shy of $30.00 . Had a very fishy smell which fresh Swordfish does not. Won't wast my money there anymore.
I ordered 10 onces of walleye today, and when I picked it up, I think that they made a mistake and gave me butter instead. When I pan fried it it literally melted in my month. Thank you so very much. Best fish ever
I find it interesting a successful business built on freedoms wants to tell you to wear a silly mask. The Truth is This is a “Pandemic of the Vaccinated” – And the Vaccine is Killing Us. Get over it.

Amazing selection of fresh and frozen seafood. I would go back anytime.
Lobster roll wasn’t that amazing , just felt like a seafood salad on white bread. Not a lot of flavor for a sandwich that was like $16. But I will say their shrimp spread/dip was excellent. Definitely will be back for that
Years ago, when my wife and I began to subscribe to a more fish/less meat diet, we went to Burhop's at La Salle and Chicago Avenue to purchase the freshest seafood. Burhop's had a marvelous reputation. Founded in 1926, Burhop's had two locations in downtown Chicago. Then both closed and Burhop's left the city to open stores in the suburbs. Today, only two remain. One is Burhop's Fish-Seafood-Hinsdale. The other, which curiously isn't affiliated with the Hinsdale store, is located in Wilmette. Open from 10:30 to 6 on Monday, 9:30 to 6 on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, 9:30 to 6:30 on Friday, 9:30 to 5:30 on Saturday and 10 to 3 on Sunday, the Hinsdale store is located at 12 Grant Square, at Grant and Chicago Avenue, in the Grant Square shopping center. Start with the soups...New England clam chowder or lobster bisque or Mediterranean crab or shrimp gumbo. For a quick sandwich snack, try the lobster roll or tuna roll. Then browse the showcase that highlights over 30 kinds of fish and seafood, as fresh as if it was caught this morning. My usual practice is to purchase two one-pound packages of 12 different fish, then freeze them. Two months from now, they are as fresh as their last day in the ocean. My favorites are cod, whitefish, halibut, Atlantic salmon, Chilean sea bass, red snapper, haddock, grouper, mahi mahi, swordfish, Dover sole and flounder. And I always take home a pound of Gulf shrimp. Maybe you might prefer lobster or oysters or clams or mussels or scallops.
Fish is always fresh and tasty.
Excellent seafood, a little pricey.
