Poor service and mediocre food. Will not return. Long gaps between server's appearance at our table. 30 minutes just to order drinks; another 20-30 before we even received. Server was MIA throughout dinner - never checked to see how everything was. Will not return

Need more than 3 servers on a Saturday night with a full restaurant. As restaurant filled up, speed of service slowed down tremendously. Server did best she could with the poor table assignments and system they have in place. Food was good but over-priced.

Stroud at the hostess stand for over ten minutes before anyone even showed up. Then 45 minutes to get a drink at our table. The excuse was that they ran out of glasses and until the dishwasher finished cleaning, we needed to wait. Service was abominable. Food was OK but not worth the brain damage of the team working there.

A Hidden Gem in Hinsdale – Reminds Me of NYC! Il Pogiollo has quickly become one of my favorite spots. The ambiance immediately brought me back to a swankier version of The Odeon in NYC – classic, elevated, and effortlessly cool. From the moment we walked in, the service was impeccable – attentive, warm, and knowledgeable. We started with a few cocktails and appetizers, all of which were excellent. Thoughtfully crafted drinks and delicious small bites set the tone for a memorable evening. Il Pogiollo has that perfect blend of style, quality, and hospitality. I'll absolutely be returning – it's a standout addition to the local dining scene.

Some of the food orders were cold to warm the veal dishes were not warm and tough, one of the people at the table didn't get his order a mix up from kitchen and no apology. Not at any time did a manager help with part of our Table or any other tables. The bartender was tops she was very friendly and new how to make all kinds drinks she was very professional.

Food was good, not our best Italian meal, pasta dish very tasty ..... chicken a little dry, sauce very tasty, beans not cooked long enough. Great wine selection/pairing. A little load, probably because of all the hard surfaces bouncing noise. Loved the energy vibe as the room filled up and noise level lowered with more sound absorbing patrons filled in. We will come back.

Carlos are server was attentive and helpful with the menu. He explained everything well! Pastas are homemade and tasty! Good appetizer selections as well as salads. Great desserts! Nice wine list and drink selections!

My first time here. Came for a late Valentine dinner with hubby. One of his customers recommended. The service was astonishing. Like super friendly and very respectful toward our time. We reserved at 8 but restaurant technically closes as 9. But we didn't feel rushed whatsoever. We ordered our food which were delicious and had a very interesting taste to each. I had the chance to try something new that I don't usually see in other Italian restaurant. The Tagliatelle Was interesting and unique. My husband ordered it and it was worth trying. We ordered 2 appetizers, the cheese/meat board cuz we ordered a bottle of wine and what's a better combo! We added the seafood Mista, sauted with side sauce. Overall it was good food and good service!

They got our order wrong 3 different times and also stated they had no napkins or utensils which was very frustrating as well as time consuming by the time we arrived home our food was cold after waiting.

Delightful local find with creative, beautifully prepared food. The menu is extensive and the atmosphere has a comfortable europeon feel. The well trained staff work seamlessly together with just the right attention to clients. We will take our friends there next month for his birthday celebration. It is sure to be a become favoriate haunt.

We dined with our 3 small children. Our server was very patient and kind throughout the meal. She was fantastic. The entire staff was as well. Always checking in on our family. Can't wait to go back.

I'm not sure that's going on in the kitchen but it's...something. Caesar salad was overdressed, Lobster Ravioli was inedible, dry flavorless sauce and metallic rubbery lobster chunks, and missing the blistered tomatoes and fried basil promised on the menu, and finally the go-to Penne w/ sausage and peas; not enough silkiness to the sauce. It was actually dry, like it had been baked. Skimpy quantity of sausage and peas. New manager was friendly and tried to make it better. But I just want my delicious “Il Poje” back :(

Just had the best pasta so far in my life!! As good as Italy, if not better. 10/10 recommend especially the Orecchiette dish, and the Octopus is a french kiss.
