Beautiful atmosphere. Large selection of food and drinks that were delicious. The check was $140 for two but that was two appetizers, two entrees, 3 drinks, 1 dessert and two coffees. Would highly recommend the eggplant!

FISH with calamari and shrimp in the Linguini di Mare, I expected the classic calamari-clam-mussels-shrimp-octopus combination. Red sauce needs more flavor and an option for extra spicy and parmesan on the side. Wish it came with a little bread for free or side salad for upcharge. No cutlery on delivery order.

Though we had reservations, we were initially led to a tiny table for 2 upstairs that was lacking a second chair and the area it was in was completely overtaken by families with small children with their items for entertainment and clothing strewn across the entire area. We were then seated across the way at an appropriate table. Drinks were good. Food good as well but portion size reduced ( fingerling potatoes cut in slices to give the appearance of more food ) and once main ingredient was eaten, plate was attempted to be cleared 5 times while there was still a lot of food left. Many must love it as it was packed but it was a Saturday night. It was not like it used to be. But probably great if you have small children as they did not seem to mind the kids running around.

Last night at Il Poggiolo Ristorante with our friends was pure magic! From the exquisite wine selection to the delectable dishes, every moment was a culinary delight. The staff was attentive, dear, and added to the fun atmosphere. Can't wait to return!

Recently ordered the tagliatelle bolognese from Il Poggiolo. It kept its heat and tasted delicious out of a bowl from home. The food was ready for pickup fast (25 min from time of order), and it was very convenient to pick up from the hostess.

The service here was very attentive and accommodating. I thought the food was somewhat typical Italian fare, nothing extraordinary. Prices were reasonable (went for lunch) as far as today's standards are concerned. Ambience is very nice with very high ceilings and a beautiful bar area.

This is a great option in Hinsdale! We love the service from Dale. He is always on top of our needs and calm. It's a relaxing evening with good timing and recommendations. The pastas are good and try the fish specials!

Really nice experience here! No reservation but manager was able to hook it up (got a little lucky). Waitress was super friendly. Owner/manager came up near the end of the meal to make sure we were comfy and enjoying ourselves. Food was really solid and the drinks and desert were top notch. Easy recommend. Thanks!

You have to order bread separately. We don't mind paying for it. But the waitress said, " unfortunately " ?Parking: It's hard to find parking. The sidewalk was icy.

Great food, service, decor and ambiance. Don't know why my wife and I haven't been back here in a while especially when it's just the next town over. They really do a good job all the way around. Both my wife and I had two different pastas and they were authentic and very tasty. Value wise, it could be a little better: having to pay for "bread service" is a little annoying. I get it, people take it for granted and much of it can get thrown away. Simple solution: serve less and let customers ask for more if need be. Nevertheless, great place and we will be going back.

Being a fan of Jerry Kleiners restaurants, I had not known about this one in the burbs. When we got there, I immediately noticed the décor and thought....this looks like a Jerry restaurant....sure enough it was. Food was delicious and everything else was great.
