If you want to go to a clean, fun and delicious place to eat….look no further. I’m not even a seafood guy but was told to get the grilled Calamari and it was fantastic. Cabbage salad to clear the palette and a bean and bacon soup type dish that was great. This place is a diamond in the rough! FYI….this isn’t McDonalds so don’t expect fast service…do expect a delicious meal!!

This is the Serbian restaurant in the United States of America. Everything I've had here, I've loved. They work very hard at keeping a high standard.

My husband and I are on a trip to the Chicago area and we were looking up fun restaurants in the area! This place sounded different from where we usually dine and we loved the fact it was family owned. We were not disappointed! The wait staff were welcoming and polite. We have never had Baltic cuisine before, so the waitress was generous and explained the principles of it. We were sold. But then the actual food itself? Fantastic. Everything was so well cooked and very flavorful. My husband got the beef pillows and I got the special of the evening which was chicken with a white sauce and mushrooms. This place is hidden in an industrial park but it is quite the hidden gem! Definitely recommend to anyone in the area.

My best friend’s culture is Eastern European and she always raved about how good the food was, being from Cincinnati Ohio there was no kind of food that matched this, omg it’s the best comfort food you can imagine! Pretty healthy too if you can keep away from the bread, but good luck ? This is hands down the best food I’ve ever eaten. Will be back for sure!

Stefan Grill used to be one of the best Serbian’s restaurants in Chicago.
Recently, i was very disappointed with beef pillows, too dry and undercooked in the same time, I could literally see red meat. And on top of it, while chewing, I found something else that doesn’t belong to beef pillow and guess what?!? it was not small piece of white paper, probably baking paper.
Veal soup is still tasty.
Some of the dishes are overpriced.
Otherwise, the place is clean and nice, nice atmosphere, kind and friendly staff.
