It’s Saturday and they have no spoons available until Monday. The bathrooms are also atrocious/disgusting. & there’s only 1 worker. We had to go next door and buy spoons.

I truly enjoy ice cream here. I do agree with the reviews about customer service. The ladies do need to speak when customers walk in. Just a simple greeting. I still love the ice cream only place I truly enjoy. Just teach the ladies to b more excited about serving us. Ice cream about bring joy so much happiness n people making n ringing us should b just like products happy.

I went there twice lately and will no longer be a customer. They no longer have the prices listed on the board, which means they can charge whatever they want. In the last year, prices have become outrageous, double what they used to be even months ago, no wonder they took the prices off! Now it's a total rip off! On top of that, the workers no longer fill up the cups, so the prices have doubled and the portions are only about 2/3 what they used to be. It seems they are under new management, which in this case seems to be very unfortunate.
The girls who work there are not always nice, and some seem like they are annoyed they actually have to work. The cleanliness has also be noticeably worse.
Last week, I went there with my daughter and we ordered ice cream for my family, two small ice creams (one flavor only), a small signature (like it), medium signature (love it), and a large signature (gotta have it). The total was $45, is this a joke? Place was not that clean, girl was semi-rude and cold that worked there. Insane prices for far smaller portions than they used to serve. The ice cream does not seem as good, either! The ice cream portion were so small for the price.
So skimpy portions, doubled prices, less ice cream quality, non-caring staff, and increased dirtiness. Both times, the floors were sticky and the store is noticeably more unkempt. The prices are absolutely crazy and the portions are pathetic! You lost a customer who has been going there since you opened 30+ years ago, and we usually spend hundreds a year here!

The slender black female worker with a short haircut and glasses has the nastiest attitude ever. When I walked in, she did not greet me at all. All she said was, “you have order for pick up?” when I received my order I noticed that I was given an orange waffle bowl when I ordered a plain waffle bowl so I went back in and I also noticed that I did not have Napkins or a spoon, and I guess I was getting in the way of what she was doing (nothing) because she seemed very inconvenienced by having to fix my order.

I had such an absolutely amazing time and experience at this location! I was able to taste different flavors until I chose the one I liked. It was such an awesome experience! I will be going back soon!

Took all seven of my grandchildren there for just a treat, on a hot summer day. The staff was amazingly patient with my grandchildren (oldest 11yrs old). They helped in making it a memorable experience with Ole PaPa. Thanks to the employees, and management for their attentiveness, and professionalism. 💪🏾❤️

Each time I've visited the Homewood, IL location, which is usually in the evening, several young ladies are serving. They always give great customer service. They're always smiling and being courteous to the customers, which is not common with a lot of young people. Thank you, ladies.
Said they were understaffed and closed at 10 instead of 11 even though there were 5 visible staff in the front of the store all goofing around. They even hung up in my face when I asked why they were closing so early. Very unprofessional, everyone acted like they don’t have a care for their job, 0/10.

Coldstone in Homewood. Terrible!!! Found hairs in my ice cream and they would not refund my ice cream because no manager was there. The cashier called him on the phone and he asked my husband to come back Friday if he wanted a refund! We paid over $28 on ice cream (2items) and we've got to wait for 2 days!!! Bullshit!!! My recommendation; don't go there!!! Very disgusted!!!!!!!

We arrived tonight (7/18/2025) at 10:24 PM—only three people in line ahead of us—and were told they weren’t taking any more orders. 🤔
For the record, the posted hours say they close at 11 PM. So I guess 10:24 is the new 11:00 now? 🤣
Disappointing and unprofessional. If you're going to cut off orders early, at least post it so people don't waste their time.

Yes I went to the HOMEWOOD IL location and one of the workers was changing out the ice cream without any gloves even though she had acrylic nails on that’s basic culinary training, her thumb went inside of the ice cream and she still put it out to serve to customers very disgusting never returning

I attempted for over an hour to place a order for a cake online that I need three days from now. I kept receiving an error message. I cleared out the cache, changed browsers and nothing. I decided to call this location to make things simpler. First attempt there was no answer. I called again and a young lady picked up and told me there's no one to take my cake order to call again tomorrow. I was going to ask her a question and she just cut me off and hung up. Now I'll definitely not be spending my money on coldstone. Customer service is key in any business. To be expected when establishments hire young workers with no proper management or training.
