I love the empanadas, but why is that place always so hot? IDK how the employees stand it. Please turn on the damn air conditioner. It's hard to eat anything when you get nauseous inside the business due to the heat.

I’m going to be very honest…the worst empanadas I have ever had. I’ve tried all different types (Colombian, Argentinian, Mexican, etc) this was actually the worst I’ve had. I had the beef. The meat was unseasoned heavily. Sure it had onion and jalapeños but the meat itself had no good flavor. Then it had tofu in it?!? Like I ordered beef not beef&tofu. Like are they trying to save money on the meat? I went home and tried to add some salt. This did not help…still tasted bad. I tried it with the Chimichurri. Did not help either. Please do not waste your money here. Go try some authentic empanadas somewhere else.

Came with my dad for lunch! It was absolutely delicious! I had the buffalo chicken and the beef one! And my dad tried the turkey pot pie and the apple dessert it all tasted amazing. So good in fact I got another beef one to go

First time and not coming back! Unlike most bad reviews, the place was no where near closing time and I was the only customer. First of all, a homeless woman was chilling in there the whole time. Second, I ordered a frozen Carmel frappe and it was completely melted. I told the women it needs more ice because it’s all watery and she said no the frappes are not like shakes and the milk does not freeze. None of the ingredients were unable to freeze! I worked as a barista before so I know she was just not trying to remake my drink. Thirdly, all the empanadas were wet and drippy. The only goods ones might be the ones with no meat at all. Still, don’t waste your money trying it out.

Excited to try the empanadas at Empanadus in Homewood on Ridge Road. It is a nice cafe and eatery offering a variety of empanadas for all dietary needs. They are served very warm and the type of empanada is branded into the outside crust. They are a good sized portion and the filling can be tasted with each bite. I bought a variety and it was easy to identify which one was beef, sausage, spinach, vegan, etc. they also offer a variety of coffees too. Would definitely suggest you give it a visit.
