They ask you for your phone number to place an order so when i got the text saying my food was ready the cashier gave me such a hard time, he didn’t give a receipt for my order first of all and STILL couldn’t find my order after having my number. he was either drunk or high or just slow. service was horrible. And my food had to much sauce to enjoy. First and last time visiting.

If your looking for a quiet and cozy yet quick lunch option this is the place. Great hospitality, quick turn around time for food and it’s fresh. Yes I said freshly cooked and the wings are not small. This is best Harold’s their is around. They have different daily deals for even more affordable options. Clean restaurant and tables to enjoy your meal on the go. Pay them a visit and get some good fried chicken and tell them Halfsleeve sent you. I would have taken pictures but all that was left were bones.

Second time going to this location and it has taken over and hour each time. I order ahead because I know it take awhile but 70 minutes for fried food seems excessive.

I placed an online order for an 8wing dinner. After arriving home, I noticed I’d I only received 6 wings. I called to inform the restaurant. LEXY answered the call, very rude, unprofessional and ghetto! I asked if it were possible to be charged for a 6 piece, since that is what I received. She said no and the only resolution would be for me to drive back for the other 2 wings. I explained that it was 9:30 pm and unreasonable for me to drive back. I just wanted an adjustment. She proceeded to tell me she’d leave a note for a manager, but they’ll likely not call me back, because a refund is against policy. I told her ok, I’d just call back tomorrow. We ended the call. She called me back twice, the first time she couldn’t find the order, the second time was to tell me, it was just a $3 difference and it isn’t a big deal, she’d Zelle me the money because it isn’t a big deal, but she doesn’t want to give out her info. I politely explained that I wasn’t making a big deal, I just wanted to be charged for what I received. The fact that I had to explain that to this cashier that took it waaaaaay to personal is insane. I was calm and polite the entire time, she was so bothered by that. She was looking for confrontation. I’ll be calling back tomorrow and if I don’t get a resolution, I’ll be disputing with my bank. This’ll be my last visit. Support black businesses? Ok!

I order catfish steaks (cost extra). When I got home, I realized I had received filets. They asked me to bring the filets back, and I did. The catfish steaks are overcooked and dried out. Very disappointed.

Don't waste your time here. LITERALLY. Half the staff is braindead because there's no reason it takes over 45 minutes to make an order of chicken. And before the owner chimes in making excuses for it being busy... I was the only person ordering at the time. This place is terrible and the owner should probably find a new line of work.

I would not recommend this Harold’s. I was skeptical to begin but gave it a shot . I ordered 2, 6 wings fried well lemon pepper. Also fish & chicken combo the same. Got home my food was DRENCHED in mild sauce like overly drenched I could move the dice back and forth in the tray which caused my food to be soggy and not hard like I asked. I gave them a call and the manager “Lexi” told me I could bring it back and they would cook over. I told her that it’s inconvenient and I don’t live in the area and I’m not coming all the way back over there to have to wait another hour. Not to mention they text and say food is ready and I still waited an extra 20 minutes. Bad customer service wet sloppy chicken & fish no good.

Just left there. I order Pizza Hut and my girlfriend order chicken from Harold’s Chicken next door. My pizza was ready in about 20 minutes. The chicken 1/2 had passed and the order was still not ready. So my girlfriend was told 10 minutes. So now it’s been 40 minutes and the food was not ready. So my girlfriend asked for a refund. The cashier stated there was no manager there to provide a refund. So she asked the cashier for a number to make a complaint. She was told there is no number. The conversation became very unprofessional. Meanwhile it’s past and hour now and still no food no refund. A manager does come in from the back and he resolve instead of giving a refund he calls the police because of my girlfriend getting loud. So I sent my girlfriend to the car while we waited for the police to come. After speaking to the police I asked now what would be the reason for now providing a refund now. He told me to stop speaking to him. I was very polite and asked why escalate this how about just refunding my money so we can leave. The cashier eventually gave the refund after being in the store about a hour and 20 minutes. I asked the manager was this a franchise store or corporate store. He asked me why am I talking to him. The police responded he thinks it’s a corporate store. I will be spending my experience to the corporate office. Can’t understand what was not reasonable of asking for a refund for not receiving food paid for.I’m editing my review because of the owners reply. The manager on shift should be fired immediately. Your response is based on his account which is not accurate and also which was escalated by him. When he arrived he stated he was the the phone the entire time my girlfriend was requesting the refund. The cashier did not go in the back as you stated was a concern for you staff safety. Also my girlfriend requested to speak to someone in management. She was denied and told they didn’t have a number for her to speak to anyone. Buy more important since a manager was on the phone he should have simple instructed the cashier to provide a refund to remove the customer out the store. Instead he came in the back of the store and was just as aggressive. I spoke to the manager myself after asking my girlfriend to go to the store. He was very unprofessionally in how he spoke to me. Even than I stayed respectful and polite. I asked a perform leaving if this was a cooperate store his response was what do it matter and why I’m I talking to him. You have invested a lot of money to be in business don’t allow someone to ruin your investment. Obviously you have service issues because of the similar repeated reviews. You need to address them. It’s only going to get worse and people do read and make decisions to patronize an establishment based on reviews. Even if you restaurant was extremely busy a wait time of 1 for a chicken dinner is unacceptable. You need to figure out how to provide better interaction service and cut down the wait on food time. May the 4th of this year will make 20 years of me being in business and my employees when at work are a reflection of my vision. I don’t allow them to be big apples at work and still work for me. Bad employees makes the business bad. I would love to meet you and speak in person. Had your manger been more respectful I wouldn't left a review. But we must hold each other accountable for our action. I’m sure if you pulled the other employees aside and cashier she will tell you spoke to the manger very respectful.
