First, the hostess went out of her way to accommodate us with a fabulous table! We loved the atmosphere-soft lighting with a wonderful view of the bay. Our waiter helped us make great choices-my husband said his steak was the best he's ever had and the French onion soup was perfect! He was friendly, efficient, and attentive. We really enjoyed our evening at Southern Roots!

The wine selection had a breadth that allowed us to explore all levels of experience. The food was extremely well done. We enjoyed a pork chop, grouper, and whole snapper. My husband and I dined at SR for our anniversary dinner. I had the beef tenderloin and he had the lamb shoulder. We both thoroughly enjoyed the dish we chose. My husband also ordered a bowl of seafood gumbo. He stated it was delicious. And this review is coming from a Cajun that knows his gumbo! Service was excellent, also. We would highly recommend SR.
Food, server, and overall were phenomenal! My wife and I chose Southern roots to celebrate our 14th wedding anniversary and it did not disappoint one bit! We will absolutely be dining there again soon!

Lovely room, and we had the best table - overlooking the sunset on the bay. Service was excellent. We shared a whole fish - red snapper. Well prepared. Not overdone which is so often the case. But the side was ratatouille, and it was sweet. It's not supposed to be sweet.

Lovely restaurant, we enjoyed our evening very much! Restaurant is pricey, but comparable prices to any fine dining steak house. We had a steak and the grouper and both entrees were delicious. Wonderful service and go at sunset, view is incredible!

We went for Valentine's Day. There was a set menu. Everything we ate was fantastic. Service was spectacular. All of the staff was friendly and knowledgeable about the wines and cocktails. Was a great experience.

Aside from the noise because of a conference dinner it was most exquisite. Our waiter was Christian and he was super friendly and down to earth. Awesome waiter. Would go again in a heartbeat. Especially if he's our waiter.
