The homemade giardiniera makes the whole thing come together. You need to get it on your sandwich. If not your really missing out on something special. I know beef sammiches, and this is the next you should be eating.

Today was our first time at Barger's. The hype is real. The Italian beef is seasoned perfectly without being too salty. The Italian sausage and sweet peppers are outstanding as well. I prefer a crusty Gonnella style bread and they forget the giardiniera on the the side. Still, this is one of the best beef sandwiches in Lake/McHenry counties. We can't wait to go back.
