This bar has quickly become one of my go-to spots! The atmosphere is relaxed but lively, making it perfect whether you’re out with friends or just want to unwind after work. The bartenders are super friendly, quick with service, and know how to make a great cocktail—every drink I’ve had here has been on point. They also have a solid beer selection and creative specials that keep things interesting.
What I love most is how welcoming it is to volleyball players. After games, it’s the perfect place to hang out with teammates, grab a drink, and keep the good vibes going. It feels like a second home—friendly, inviting, and always a fun time.

Didn't eat, but they did have popcorn which is always great when you're having drinks. Fun place with karaoke, volleyball, pool, darts, slots. Best think is a garage that opens to the fresh air

Went and did karaoke with my girlfriend’s in celebration of my birthday, and had a great time. The bartenders are great, DJ is awesome. Drinks are cheap. Can’t ask for better!

The quintessential dive bar. Great place staff is welcoming all the people are friendly they have two pool tables and four dart boards it may look small in the outside but it packs a big punch.

Good Person
First time visitor to this bar! I have driven past it 100's of times always saying I need to check it out. I was on a Father-Son outing finding a barber in the area and we ended up stopping here to see what it was all about.
We were both pleasantly surprised at the overall experience. We did not go there to eat, but to have a few beers. We arrived at the 3 p.m. domestic beers for $2 time of day! I can't remember the last time I paid $2 for a beer anywhere in the last 4 years! They were ice cold and the bartender Beth was very nice and welcoming.
She gave us the rundown on the bar and all of the happenings that they have including karaoke, volleyball, pool and darts. There are also plenty of video gaming machines if that is what you like to do.
We were basically the guests to a host of regulars who made us feel welcome and part of the group. We engaged in general small talk as the Cubs game was playing on two screens at the bar. We were also inquiring about fishing and that is $2 per person to go outback and fish off the pier and their property by the water. We are going to give that a try soon.
We did get a good recommendation for that barber shop! We ended up booking two appointments for the following Friday and will visit the Squawbar after the haircuts.
You just never know what you will walk into and we are happy we went and look forward to our next visit.

Been to every karaoke spot in Lake county and this is by far the best one. That got karaoke 4 days a week, and the DJ will play every song you can think of. Even if you have obscure tastes.

Great go out by yourself or with a friend in a relaxing environment that doesn’t cater to pretentiousness. And the people are exactly how you see them they don’t pretend. Which I really like. I also like karaoke 4 nights week! Thursday through Sunday. Can’t find that anywhere.
