The service is great. Always has been. But the food? Idk what happened but its just not good anymore. Absolutely the worst taco salad Ive ever had. Looked like dog food. No lettuce, no veggies. It was ground beef and queso in a taco bowl. Fajitas were bland, salsa was eh, margaritas are good tho. Probably wont be back especially with so many other local Mexican restaurants with far superior food
Probably the friendliest staff at a restaurant in Jerseyville, the food is amazing, the place is clean, and just an overall good atmosphere. Because of that it might turn some people away because they are always packed, but I have been there 100's of times in my lifetime and they still get you in and served fast!
It's always a plus when Mexican restaurants serve salsa in the little pitcher thing. Second time here, got tacos both visits. 1st visit I tried beef, carnitas, carne asada. Beef was good, carnitas were better, but the carne asada was really good. 2nd visit I got only 2 steak tacos and they just were not as good as the first visit.
