Blue Star Taqueria and Margarita Bar

Blue Star Taqueria and Margarita’s Restaurant has the best tacos I’ve ever had tried!!!! I love the different varieties and meat choices they have. Their tacos are exquisitely traditional with a modern taste that no other restaurant have. Their seasonings and the delicious flavors is what I loved!!! I recommend the fish, carne asada, pastor tacos. I would definitely stop by more than once. Their staff is friendly, the place is clean, I really recommend it. ?

Yesterday night we decided to go out and get something to eat and we found ourselves at Blue Star Taqueria. We went right at the perfect time because shortly after we sat down it started to get busy! Sitting there watching the staff work through everything so quickly and efficiently was a site to behold and, despite it all, our food was brought to our table in no time. We got some of the Aztec Asada tacos and the Pork Al Pastor tacos and MY GOD. I literally dug in! I didn’t even think about taking pictures of them, but they were full of meat and the toppings were amazing and FRESH FRESH. The tacos had plenty of meat, the cheese on the Aztec tacos was gooey perfection, and the pineapple on the Pork tacos was cooked to perfection. I even absolutely loved the tomatoes/pico on the Aztec ones, and I typically HATE tomatoes. I also got an order of the jalapeño Mexican street corn and if I could go back and get a bucket of just that I would. You also get chips and salsa when you dine in and they give you four different flavors of salsa with the cutest little spoons. Again, if I could order a bucket of something it would be the mango salsa!! The chips were hot and extremely flavorful and the salsas go wonderfully with the tacos. Before I even forget, GET THE HORCHATA. It is SOOO DELICIOUS. I got it twice. Once traditional and then I ordered the horchata milkshake with churros before I left. I have never had such amazing tacos before in my life. I cannot wait to go back and try more from their menu!!

This was great! We were new to this and the woman behind the counter was very helpful. The food was excellent. I had the pork belly and crispy chicken tacos. I also had a side dish of Mexican street corn. Everything was delicious- a lot of flavor and prepared super quick. Would highly recommend!

Parking: Good number of spots

Blue Star has a beautiful interior that is comfortable but also very well designed. The customer service is excellent and the owner is very kind and hospitable. If you haven’t, make sure you check them out in the Justice Town Square plaza.

Visiting the Chicago area and Blue Star Tacos came up as the place for tasty tacos and drinks. It’s a cool atmosphere with modern grass walls/decor and is a little taco truck style! They have a variety of tacos, burritos, bowels, complementary hot sauce platter with great cocktails or sodas for all tastes! Gaming is available inside, great service, and complimentary chips and salsa. Some prices are a bit high but reasonable for speciality tacos! They also have specials daily! ? ?

We stumbled upon this restaurant on our trip to Illinois. First super cute inside, very clean. The customer service was awesome everyone was so nice and helpful. The food was very good. Prices are pretty fair for the quality and quantity of food. We will definitely be back.

We came across Blue Star Taqueria by accident and what a happy accident!! My husband and I each had 2 tacos and shared a large order of the street corn. Chips and salsa were on the house. Our meals were delicious and we were happily full!! We loved the 4 side salsas that came with the tacos. This restaurant is a gem!!

This place puts some extra effort into their tacos and it shows. They have a selection of 4 sauces all of which were delicious. Nice variety beyond the typical chicken, pork or steak offered at your typical Tex-Mex restaurant. The blue star fish taco in the center was my favorite of the three.

Excellent food and drinks. Fresh and homemade cuisine. Wonderful service. So good I forgot to get a pic of my tacos!

First time here, and we’ll never go anywhere else! Holy guacamole! The food is amazing! Super impressed! We’ll be back anytime we crave excellent Mexican food!! Yum!!

good fresh food with lots of flavor. Burrito bowl was great. CHURROS were amazing. Restaurant is small but clean.. decor makes you feel like ur outside a taco truck super cool feel to it.

Salsa are varied snd really good. Loved the mango. Chili relleno best I’ve had in a long time along with a mango margarita. Steak tacos vert tender and flavorful.

The food is freshly made and delicious! They have a great variety of flavorful tacos. The range of salsas will please any palate.

Good food but recently had a bad experience with customer service. A staff member was vulgar and loud with the other staff (just playing around I guess but yikes) and then rude to us when we asked for a refund on a singular taco because we were charged an extra one. We spent $60 on tacos, basically paid Fat Rosie’s (my fave) prices at a strip mall and with a nasty cashier? No thanks. I hadn’t been disappointed until now, the prices just don’t add up considering they don’t have waiter service, on top of the cringy experience last time we went. Won’t return, I’d rather tip my waiter for the best tacos at fat Rosie’s for the same cost!
