My absolute favorite Mexican restaurant in Kankakee/bradley/bourb area. The Birria tacos are always amazing. Whatever I get, it’s always good and the employees are always super friendly to me. I only wished there was dine in available, but I don’t mind doing take out when I know it’s going to be good regardless.

I ordered food from here on a Saturday around 5pm and they were closed when I went to pick it up. It said they were open online and it allowed me to order through Grub Hub and it said my food would be ready. Thankfully I got a refund through Grub Hub. Very disappointed they were closed without any signs posted.

This is my goto for veggie tacos. I haven't found another restaurant in the area that tops them.
Excellent service in terms of organization, we ordered tamales for a certain time and they were ready on time, but the truth is that the tamales had no flavor at all, you couldn't even eat them because the dough all fell apart, the red chicken ones had the least flavor, the sauce much less. The place needs a little cleaning and presentation too.

This is the place. If you come to Kankakee and go pretty much anywhere else for tacos, they're gonna be good. But if you want really excellent food, this is where you go. Something like 12 years later and it's still my favorite spot.

Here’s a local hack- if you want more meat than three tacos but want to pay less for the meal, order the Nachos with the meat of your choice. You will not only get more bang for your buck but also guac and addtl sauces. (Get the Guac Salsa).I recommend the Al Pastor, probably the best in the entire region (7-city wide). I would not recommend the steak as it’s mostly fat. Also, don’t eat here in-person. There is no seating and it’s a bit awkward if you do. It’s a take-out only.

They have excellent tacos and some of the best quesabirria tacos I have ever had. Crazy this place is in the Midwest. Their cabeza tacos are the best I’ve ever had. They’re nice people, too. The main woman that owns it is very nice.
Don’t waste your time. Owner doesn’t hold employees accountable. They will make whatever they feel instead of what you actually ordered, then pretend to not understand when you ask to get it fixed of for a refund. They will happily take your money though!

Some of the best tacos I've ever had. Great tamales. Good service.
I'd ask them to reconsider removing tamales from their business name or reconsider their tamales recipe.Dry with a hint of meat. That was my experience.Edit: you sir are correct. I had to get fires later elsewhere.

Doesnt look like much but it was just voted as one of the top 5 small restaurants in Illinois and the food did not disappoint. It was fabulous!
