My Dad passed away 4 years ago today and he loved JR’s so much! It was a staple for his lunch the last two years of his life. To commemorate i went and got lunch there today. I got a 2 piece snack with a salad bar because I couldn’t decide on the side. I asked if o could take the 2 piece snack home in a box and they wouldn’t let me. We have to travel to Chicago often and try to stop at different places to eat on the way home. We found this place in Kankakee yesterday. afterbreading some reviews, we decided to stop. The food was excellent! salad bar was cold, fresh and everything was good. soup was homemade and good. The chicken was excellent! restaurant was nice and clean and the waiter was very friendly and attentive. Give it a try!!!
