Stopped here visiting a friend in town. The brewery is on the small side but that's what makes it perfect to hangout, chill and drink great brews. You gotta make sure to try their Cookie Whisperer Porter! It's filled with so much flavor!

I’m new to the area, and this place was exactly what I was looking for! The owners are so welcoming and awesome, the regulars are all friendly and also awesome. If you walk in here not knowing anyone, you will walk out with new friends. The beer is outstanding, as well! Being a fan of sours, it’s always exciting to see a local brewer with a sour on tap. My favorites from the current lineup are Top Emoji, Madam I’m Ahtanum and Honey Biscuit.

Such a great spot! Beer is delicious and the bartenders were wonderful, knowledgeable and attentive. Also the pet wall in the bathroom is adorable.

Knack is a treasure. They have challenged our community to try sometime different and be a part of a wonderful local movement happening here. Knack embodies what is awesome about Kankakee… unique, resilient, authentic and on the brink of something huge.

Matt (the owner) is amazing. Hung out with us the whole time, talked us through every beer, how it was made and what he was shooting for and then let us try it all. Cannot recommend enough

We stopped by Knack while visiting from Las Vegas. Such an awesome and friendly atmosphere. We tried a flight of beers and enjoyed them all. The sour ale and Bavarian Contrarian wheat ale were my top two favorites and loved getting to try something a little different- Knack’s mliko pour! The staff was knowledgeable and helped us pick which beers to check out from our preferences!

Young brewery needs tie learn a lot. Beer is served in wrong type of glass, not allowing you to receive the full aroma of the beer. Try their Hazy IPA, head was fill with flakes of hop, and did not settle down after ten minutes. The server even joked about how thick the beer was. Sign had notes of apricots but all I tasted was the yeast still in the beer. The styles of beers were wide apart, which indicates to me that the brewer has no main style, master of none. The atmosphere was more like a ice store or soda shop then a brewery taproom. This place needs more craft put into the brewing and correct glassware to highlight the styles of beer. I gave a 1 star because that is the lowest rating allowed. Yes it was just one beer that I could not finish because it upset my stomach.

Knack has such a great, welcoming environment. The beers are also delicious and there is great pride in knowing it was brewed right here in Kankakee by the guy behind the bar. The flavors are always spot on and the ambience just enhances the experience. Thank you for creating this space and working so hard to cultivate great beer!

If you are looking for a place with great beer, friendly staff, and NO TV’s, this is place! Sit down and actually have a conversation with someone while you drink a variety of fantastic beers. They will occasionally have a food truck there too! This has become one of our favorite places to go. If you are in the area, this is a must stop!

Nice microbrewery slightly off the beaten path. If you are in the area it is worth plugging it into the GPS and stopping by. Small but modern tasting room. Staff was very friendly and informative. You have to try the Mliko Pour if you have never had it. Afterwards head to Jarnicke’s Root Beer Stand for a Red Hot (open seasonally).
