I tried the strawberry pancakes at Loris pretty recently and they were the best pancakes I have had in a long time. Loris is excellent!

I have been eating here at Loris for the past couple of years and every time the food/service has never disappointed me. Amazing food with many options. The restaurant also has a cozy/old school diner vibe that is very welcoming makes you feel right at home. Highly recommend and definitely one of the best restaurants in the area.

I got a bacon cheeseburger. The burger itself was good but the fries wasn’t. From the outside, they LOOK fried hard and delicious like I like it but then they are hard on the inside like they were undercooked. Very weird and this is my second time ordering fries from here and it was like that the first time. I think I’ll get SOMETHING else instead of the fries with my meal. The seats need to be replaced. One in particular is the one when you walk in. But the service was terrible! I usually tip and I absolutely refused to this time. We didn’t get checked on. I had to flag down someone for extra pickles while I’m halfway done with my burger after waiting patiently for a considerate amount of time. No one never bought the check. I had to go to the front again after waiting a considerable amount of time. We were on break from work so time was limited. It really rubbed me the wrong way. I can overlook the fries but THAT service was enough to make me not want to go back!

The only thing sure to make you smile more than the good food and good service is the bill at the end of your meal! Best atmosphere in Kankakee, makes the town seem alive again. As soon as you walk in, you're hearing everyone talking and laughing and saying hello to each other. You got a great menu that they've even added onto in the last couple years! And for the taste and portions, undoubtedly the best prices around! Friendliest staff that seems to get friendlier each year I find myself going in. I am very happy to see what the new owners have been doing and hope their family continues to bless the heart of Kankakee with their food and good nature!

Got the BLT with fries. I expected the BLT to be lighter but this one was tiny, like kids menu tiny. It tasted fine but very basic. The fries tasted bad and very strange. Like they were fried along side fish sticks or a bar of soap. Not good. Everyone at my table said the same about their fries. I would pay more for average food.

I normally order to a delivery service, but decided to go in. Went to the bar to order to go. Was totally ignored, not by other customers but while they stood directly in from continuous talking until I asked could someone pls take my order. Suddenly, I decided they don't deserve my business.

Excellent little local flavor restaurant. I had a chicken fajita salad, all fresh, made from scratch ingredients. Grilled chicken done very nicely and home made fried tortillas strips were fresh and homemade. Wonderful place open until 2:30 PM. Mainly breakfast and lunch on the menu but a very extensive menu. Highly recommend!
