This is probably a 3 1/2 star place but you can’t give half stars. Some of our food was excellent, well other dishes were overcooked and could’ve used a little more flavoring. Drinks were very good. we really appreciated the fact that you could carry on a conversation without having to shout. The staff made sure our needs were generally taken care of. Don’t forget their excellent breakfast! Certainly a place we would go back to in the future.

My girlfriend and I tried Stefari a few weeks ago and Woww!! I was blown away by how amazing the food, service and ambiance was. I had the butter chicken and it was a culinary explosion of flavor!! I would highly recommend checking this place out! The owner Marci and her staff are wonderful!! Support local always!!

Support local businesses! This was a wonderful find. Delicious food. Personable staff. Had a member of our party that was gluten free and they made all kinds of accommodations for them. Highly recommend!

My wife had the Parmesan Asparagus Prosciutto & Egg toast and absolutely loved it! I had the breakfast plate with arugula, eggs, bacon, toast and avocado and it was pretty good as well. We were seated quickly, it took a bit to place our order, but once we did the food came out real quick. Overall, really good food, super cute place, and perfect ambience. Their chai latte was also really good and both my wife and I enjoyed it.

We tried the breakfast sandwich, avocado toast, and pancakes, and it was nice to see a range of options available. The café itself has a creative charm that makes it a great hangout spot. Such a great drink menu as well!

One thing I noticed was that the service felt a bit off during our visit. Coffees sat on the counter for a while, and the team seemed a little distracted. I know how much heart the owners have poured into this place, so I’m hopeful this was just an off day.

I’ll definitely be back to try more from the menu and support a local favorite that brings so much character to downtown Kankakee.

Butter chicken is one of the best dishes you can find in Kankakee.

Delicious fresh goods. Decent drinks. Stopped in for lunch. They were pretty busy for a Friday afternoon. Love they have breakfast or lunch or coffee or wine.

Good food, good drinks, just inconsistent if you order a custom margarita on a Friday and go back Saturday, it’s always different, but still tasty.

I stumbled upon this Gem of a restaurant a handful of visits ago. Every time after my 1st visit I have been consistenly pleased.
The food was surprisingly delicious and creative. The flavors are/were memorable. I am already drooling thinking about my next visit.
The staff is kind and perfectly attentive. The Chef is always smiling with pride and absolutely loving his work.

I've been a few times and everything I've tried is great. This place is going the extra mile and it shows. I'm going back soon for the Butter Chicken and a tasty, boozy coctail.

Don’t order online! They’re linked with Door Dash and orders are severely delayed.

Pretty location and stylish, friendly employees but crazy expensive. $20 for two 12oz lattes and tip.

Flavor was on par with a nice coffee but that price made me flinch on the inside. I can't believe they charge $1.60 for oat milk in a 12oz latte. I'm effectively buying a pint of oat milk (even barista quality) at that price. Idek if it came as a double shot.

Love the decor and vibe of the place. The seasonal cocktails are definitely worth a try. Large group was well taken care of and the food was very good.

First time here and loved the experience. Great service, beautiful space, lots of interesting menu options. We had the Turkish eggs and the Avocado croissant. Both were delicious. The vanilla ginger latte was also excellent. I look forward to trying their shareables and dinner menu next!

Stefari West, in my humble opinion, is the best place to be and eat in all of Iroquois and Kankakee County. Here are the reasons why this place is wonderful and if you haven't tried it out you should.

1) The food - The food quality is of another level. If you want healthy and delicious, this is the place to go. The combination of proportions, affordability, fresh ingredients, and fun combinations is unparalleled in the area. The menu is simple, and for good reason; they do very well with what they make. There are few places you can go out to eat where you can eat plenty and walk away feeling good about yourself.

2) The drinks—Stefari is also the best place to get coffee. I like the regular drip coffee (black), but if you're into creative drinks, they blow Starbucks or any other chain out of the water!

3) Atmosphere - The environment is warm and aesthetically pleasing.

4) Service—The service staff is friendly and attentive. It's my understanding that both owners are intimately involved in all facets of the restaurant, bar, and cafe. Their personal investment shows in the quality of service!

I hope they have many years of fruitful service to the community!
