We didn't know this but they are closing up for good July 2!! Soooo out of some food we wanted to get.
Ugh. Pricey for less than average quality. Not clean. Service slow. And presentation was below expectations when you look at the menu.
My wife and I stopped here for the 1st time to get a quick bite and we were impressed with our waitress and quality of our food. We are both on diet restrictions so I ordered 2 Cajun fries and they were so delicious *fries could’ve been a bit spicier like most Cajun flavored dishes* Highly recommended restaurant! P.S. I hope all is well Andrew Speck, maybe I’ll see you next time my wife and I are in Kewanee.
Ate from the food truck at OSF, prices were steep but I expected a decent amount of food. I got a small amount of food for $15. Small philly cheesesteak, small fries were good, but not a good value and was hungry 3 hours later.
The ambience is as reviewed. It's dark and kitschy. That isn't why you go here. Food was good and great. The reuben was ok. The soup was amazing, my wife raved about her food. Taking the in laws back in a week or two when we go to the local greenhouse, which also is great.
We came in from Galesburg to eat there as we have in the past before covid and I got to say it was not up to par was very disappointed. We got a couple rolls in the basket had to go up and ask for the small plate to eat then off of and what she said on the table I can see the dirty film on the plates. When we got our food it was all bread hardly any meat at all like a tablespoon hot roast meat and my husband had a chicken bourbon plate and a piece of meat was a small half of a small chicken breast and was paper thin and we paid $30 for nothing but a scoop of potatoes and some bread dirty dishes and dirty silverware I wiped our silverware and plates with a wet wipe... Will not ever go back again very disappointed
Food was good, I had the steak and eggs with cheesy hashbrowns. I would visit again.
Very good service, food is always very goodLittle pricy for there menu
The food was decent but they charge you for french fries or your sides $3.49 = 15.49 a plate ended up
Great food, great atmosphere, awesome service. We will return.

The place was empty at 6 PM on a Saturday night. Now we know why. They were out of white-meat fried chicken and out of sour cream. Ham steak was drenched in gravy and the mashed potatoes tasted like thin paste. The chicken tenders were ok. The baked potatoes were way over cooked…mushy and tasteless. Server never came to refill water or drinks. She gave us the check but failed to ask if we wanted coffee or dessert. Place was entry when we left. Won’t be back. Cerno’s across the street is much, much better.
Been there twice both times was good service and pretty darn good food ate the chicken fried steak
An excellent American diner style restaurant in the heart of downtown Kewaunee. Portion sizes are hearty, service is warm and personable. Biscuits and gravy were outstanding, hash browns delightfully crisp.
Nice medium sized restaurant, next to the Amtrak station and a two track main line .Nice full menu.Ordered the beaded tenderloin, with a side of Mac and cheese and a side salad. The salad was fresh and great. Tenderloin came out, even beter, cooked great, breading tasted great, no oily taste and included plenty of pickles (most places give you 3). Mac and cheese was just as good, plenty of gooey cheese.Restaurant very clean and neat
We hope to see this food truck again. Although the wait was longer than expected, we thoroughly enjoyed our meal.
