Wanna give a shout-out to Ghrim(?) amd Ashley for my consistently perfect to-go cup of joy chai late 25% sweeten. Especially on days I have to teach.

9/26 so it wasn’t Ghrim nor Ashley today. So who was it that made my perfect cup of kid chai latte 25% sweeten with raw sugar… today? love it

I love their summer menu! Everything is delicious my favorite is the pineapple basil. I was sceptical at first but they are great and refreshing- even the brown sugar grapefruit, and I don’t like grapefruit!

Great little cafe in Lake Bluff. We ordered mocha and hot chocolates, as well as a few scones. All delicious. Friendly service and a great place to hang out. Thanks, Hansa!

Our favorite was ube latte and it was awesome. Unfortunately, they stopped serving until next spring. Very relaxing atmosphere and they have great beverage options.

Hansa Coffee and Wine Sellers: A Canvas of Flavor and Atmosphere

Stepping into Hansa is like walking into a painting—a swirl of aromas, textures, and soft, golden light. The air hums with the gentle hiss of the espresso machine, as though it’s breathing life into the space. Every cup of coffee feels like a story, a burst of rich hues—earthy browns, citrus yellows, chocolatey blacks—painted onto your palate.

And then, there’s the wine: deep reds and shimmering whites, glowing like liquid sunsets. Each sip is a brushstroke, bold and delicate, unraveling its character slowly, like an artist revealing their masterpiece.

The people here move like actors in a timeless play: the barista, an alchemist; the customers, silent poets in thought; the clink of glasses, a percussion of human connection. Even the pastries, golden and flaky, sit on plates like still-life studies—art you’re invited to devour.

Hansa isn’t a café—it’s a fleeting, sensory dreamscape. A place where coffee and wine aren’t drinks but emotions, where time folds into itself, and you leave carrying the memory like a pocketful of stardust.

We love the atmosphere, the delicious cold brew, and the pastries (highly recommend the apple fritter)! We stop by at least once a week and bring any friends/family to Hansa when they are in town visiting.
