This was our first time dining at Inovasi. I called ahead and spoke with Brett on the phone because we were interested in trying the tasting menu. Brett was super helpful and kind on the phone and relayed our dietary restrictions (gf, shellfish, tree nuts) to the kitchen hours before we arrived.
The restaurant was quaint and cozy and we managed to see Brett on our way to our table. Jackie was our waitress and she took really good care of us from the moment we sat down, confirming our dietary restrictions and the pacing of the courses of the tasting menu all along the way.
Speaking of the tasting menu, it is an AMAZING deal for $59 a person. You get 5 family-style courses, but each course has two dishes, so it felt more like a 10 course meal. We particularly liked the fried mushrooms and the beef. Inovasi mainly (or perhaps exclusively, I can’t remember) uses rice flour in their dishes so many things are naturally gluten free which we love.
We basically had to roll out of there with how much food we got and it was a date night to remember. Thank you Brett, Jackie, and everyone at Inovasi for a wonderful experience. We will be coming back very soon!

Amazing meal tonight, 9/6 at Inovasi. For our 27 Wedding Anniversary, we dined on an amazing Tarragon Chicken and a Brown Butter Walleye. To end we had the Raspberry Lemon Meringue dessert. Yum! Jennifer did an amazing job!

Cane on a pilgrimage to try JDR’s restaurants after being blow away by his Cambio Tequila lineup. First stop was Half and Half for some wine and spirits, then a Tasting menu of his plates at Inovasi. Started with The James Bond Vesper Martini for giggles, but was very happy with my drink. Set the mood for a nice evening. The Tasting Menu was amazing. Nine sharable plates with a few apps, salad/veggie starter, a fish, chicken, beef and vegetarian entree, then finishing with dessert. Unique and flavorful dishes with a ton of creativity. So much food that it shot our plans to spend time back at the lounge at Half/Half for a nightcap.. Highly recommend these two locations for a nice relaxing and informative/innovative time. For those that don’t know, JDR also has an amazing lineup of tequila with his Cambio line. We came to his restaurants after tasting his tequila.. New and innovative process that you can really taste in his creations.. Excited to try what he and his team cones up with next! Next stop, Everett Farms for lunch tomorrow. A great reason to spend some time in Lake Bluff coming 2 hours from Wisconsin. Great food, vibes and excellent service! We will be back!
